Nautilus’ music is described by the band as progressive jam fusion, something that’s more than appropriate. Their sound is amalgam of many things, and while they could be described to friends in quick explanation as jam band, they are really much more. Incorporating funk and rock aesthetics their sound evokes an airy, spacey feel that recalls smoky jazz material done with laid back construction.
