Мааt Lander / Øresund Space Collective "Мааt Lander / Øresund Space Collective"

Country: Russia, Denmark/Sweden
Genre(s): Instrumental Psychedelic, Space Rock
Label: Clostridium records (CR 027)
Format: vinyl, digital
Release date: April 2017
Tracklist
1. Maat Lander - "The Multicellular Structures Into The Space Drift"
2. Øresund Space Collective - "Easy Teenage Version"

Description/Reviews
This is mighty trippy stuff. It is the music of Maat Lander, three guys hailing out of Russia and Oresund Space Collective, eight members with a more international base. Without getting into a “who does what” here, suffice to say this music is some mighty fine space rock. All you really need to know is its two long compositions clocking in at forty-two minutes together.

It’s a fascinating, all instrumental, conceptual piece touching upon the theme of intricate functions of the human subconscious, dream-visions and music. Arguably, this is the band’s most ambitious and complicated work that brings together traditions of progressive, psychedelic, jazz, academic, and folklore music.

Description/Reviews
The 5th studio album by the Russian premier space-art-rock act Vespero. Leaving behind them satire, irony and kraut-extravaganza, the band created an impressive lyrical work inspired by visions of their homeland. Stylistically, “Droga” marked a distinct shift to the progressive rock area. This is all instrumental eclectic prog-rock with traces of Southern Russia’s ethnic music and jazz-fusion, though the presence of space-kraut-psychedelic elements is still very strong.
