This is mighty trippy stuff. It is the music of Maat Lander, three guys hailing out of Russia and Oresund Space Collective, eight members with a more international base. Without getting into a “who does what” here, suffice to say this music is some mighty fine space rock. It’s a fascinating, all instrumental, conceptual piece touching upon the theme of intricate functions of the human subconscious, dream-visions and music. The 5th studio album by the Russian premier space-art-rock act Vespero. Leaving behind them satire, irony and kraut-extravaganza, the band created an impressive lyrical work inspired by visions of their homeland. Stylistically, “Droga” marked a distinct shift to the progressive rock area. This is all instrumental eclectic prog-rock with traces of Southern Russia’s ethnic music and jazz-fusion, though the presence of space-kraut-psychedelic elements is still very strong.Media/Samples
