Description/Reviews
Kicking things off in typical fashion with wailing guitars, stellar harmonies and entrancing tempo changes, the album launches into a powerful opener of “Plaese Haalp.” While many have already heard the tune live over the course of the last few months, this time, listeners are introduced to triumphant strings, violins and cellos, helping to create a larger than life sound. Lyricism plays a key role, detailing inner emotions and exploring parallels between time, creating music and giving attention to other avenues in life. Eventually tempo slows down as Winderman’s roaring and impressive vocals take the reigns of explaining their reasoning behind the 2018 hiatus.

   With
The Ghost Of Christmas Past – Backing Vocals (1)
Falk Meutzner – Schreie (5)

Description/Reviews
The album starts off on some Sunburned Hand of the Man/No-Neck Blues Band-style earthy, improv weirdness (quickly abandoned for the remainder of the album) before shifting gears into a playful, whimsical Syd Barrett-esque psych-pop jam. Around five minutes into the song is a crunchy, bluesy fuzz guitar solo that builds into some haunting male and female vocal dueling. This is definitely an “album” album, no need to break it down track by track. It’s epic and cinematic. Intentional or not, there are nods to ELP, Yes, Genesis and the like, but also The Mars Volta and The Sound of Animals Fighting. The vocals are uniformly gorgeous. My favorite track upon the first couple of listens is “Ron,” for what it’s worth.
Expect lots of jazzy percussion, math rock-isms, ridiculous distorted guitar tones, soaring female vocals, and an overall professional hi-fi sound. Play this one on a good sound system! “Your nose is hairy!”
There’s a buttload of ‘70s rock moves, sick guitar riffs, and memorable melodies, all played professionally and capably. These blokes are actual musicians. Definitely good driving music; throw this one on the tape deck while traversing the great highways of the haunted universal road zone. Perhaps I’ll cross paths with them a year from now (the time of this writing) in Germany."

Description/Reviews
...what sets Elevator Man apart from many other fusion albums that feature magnificent musicianship, is the way in which the individual players blend seamlessly together as an ensemble. Their collective empathy and proficiency helps to illuminate and highlight the strength and outstanding quality of the compositions. This is emphasised to great effect during the first five tracks, which include a horn section. These pieces are quite different in both sound and mood to the pieces that follow.

Line-up

Description/Reviews
If you have always wanted to know what it would sound like if King Crimson teamed up with Frank Zappa and Bela Bartok to set a precisely concerted stroke to music, Ripping Heartaches will finally answer your prayers. Mastermind Martin Mayrhofer mercilessly bullwhips the songs through genres and yet he manages to never lose the spine that holds the composition together. Tricky math-like riffs are followed by brutal outbursts of anger and finally flow into melancholic melodies of heartache: the Munich-based guitarist and singer has filled Ripping Heartaches up to the brim with musical creativity. That is the foundation upon which the songs about Buddhist teachings and the Weltschmerz of our time are built.

Line-up
Simon Phillips (Toto) - drums
Greg Howe - guitars
Dennis Hamm - keyboards
Ernest Tibbs - bass

Description/Reviews
“Nimbus” kicks things off in high gear. Howe is given room to stretch out over Phillips’ delicate high hat work and Tibbs’ propulsive bass playing. Touches of Fender Rhodes and synth washes add to the musical tableau. Hamm’s synth solos recall ’70s-era jazz rock, in all its glory. The song’s timing changes and solo section hold together expertly, yet never seem over thought.

Description/Reviews
This album starts with WHEN THEY COME, where it's clear the lesson of bands as DREAM THEATER, but developing a deep own style. Changes of time, epic memories, Power accelerations..a really tasty recipe. HEIR TO APOSTASY starts heavier and goes on with an enjoyable metal riffing, with a more open singing, clear sign of ability of singer HAYE GRAF.
IMMORTAL PROJECTION is a point forward compared to previous songs..continuous changes of time, singing more thoughtful. Almost nine min duration for PARANOIA, an awesome song that it pulls the listener in a paranoic horde before guitars finally take over.
The work goes on with three great songs as MACBETH, SENSE AND SCIENCE and EMBER, before the break of ELEMENTUM, a great instrumental. SHIPWRECKED is the last drop of high class. (Giovanni Soldi at hardrockheavymetal.info)
