Danny Markovitch - Sax
Jon Nadel - Bass
Blake Jiracek - Drums
Description/Reviews:
The first thing noticeable when Marbin's seventh album, Israeli Jazz, is done playing is that it doesn't sound similar to any other jazz album to date. The unique blend of Dani Rabin's distorted guitar with Danny Markovitch's bright soprano sax tone, the fast unison lines, the intricate forms of the songs and how the music skips from one section to another, and the melodic and harmonic language the band uses in its compositions and solos.Media/Samples

Description/Reviews:
The music on Marbin’s sixth album, Goatman and the House of the Dead, evokes imagery so vivid it’s easy to imagine this album being a soundtrack to a movie; perhaps a futuristic western. Each one of the nine new compositions tells a story with twists and turns and gives us a glimpse inside the band’s collective mind.Media/Samples

While its predecessor provided solid evidence of the comprehensive breadth of styles and textures in their arsenal, Last Chapter of Dreaming documents an intrepid leap forward for this young, vibrant band. With it's unique blend of inventive, balls-to-the-wall rock, unpretentious, from-the-heart jazz, and emotionally-charged blues (and even a hint of bittersweet, melodic Eastern European folk), this fabulous effort serves notice, in no uncertain terms, that Marbin are a band that has clearly arrived.Read the whole description and listen to samles at label's web page
