Description/Reviews
Magnesis likes to tell the legends and tales, authentic or fantasized, of its native Burgundy. The eighth rendition in the magnesisian discography, published on the Musea Parallèle label in the year 2015, once again confirms this attachment. Catherine De Châteauneuf was the first woman in History to fight male domination and religious obscurantism. Left alone to manage her land and her domain after the death of her parents, she is forced to marry a violent man she's going to poison in the end. After having endured tortures, she was burned alive in the XVth Century, thus becoming "La Dame De Braise" ("The Ember Woman"). The last chatelaine of Châteauneuf-En-Auxois was one of the most beautiful women in the kingdom of France, all the men were in love with her, and that surely didn't help...
