   With
Vincent Veith, Corb and Carol Felgenhour, Paula Clark, Emily Bzdafka, Taylor Nagy - backing vocals

Description/Reviews:
The completed album very much has the feel of a concept album verging even on rock opera with a huge score and there is just so much happening with swathes of keyboards, churning guitars and a strident and intense vocal delivery from Juan Ricardo. Much of the keyboard driven work puts me in mind of the great Glass Hammer but there are quite a few styles here from hard rock, anthemic melodic rock right through to progressive rock so that every play seems to bring something new to the mix. There are pleasing ballads to enjoy too but it is a difficult album to categorise due to the ever changing styles but it is a most pleasing album that is probably best described as AOR. Great guitar, thrilling keyboards and the usual rich and expressive vocals of Ricardo make this an album that will provides hours of delight as you try to compartmentalise the sound but you will continue to find something new that will always delight. Access All Worlds is seven songs driven by creative curiosity and artistic honesty, that also initiate feelings and reflections. An epic, cosmic and contemplative journey of energetic beauty and ferocity, Access All Worlds reflects on human existence, set in a storyline following daring space travelers. The music is grounded in roaring, colorful drumming and crushing bass, while the sonic horizon is painted with a vast spectrum of guitar-driven expression, all overarched by narration through diverse vocals.

Jakob Rehlinger - everything

Description/Reviews:
After 19 albums, this is the culmination of the vision Jakob Rehlinger has had for the psychedelic spacerock project since the first Heavy Moon release in 2006. Blending classic late ‘60s acid rock with early ‘70s prog, krautrock, and proto-metal, he’s woven a sonic tapestry of trippy, mind-bending sounds and textures to aid the listener in their own astral travels. No additional psychedelics needed.

The groove of the first track pulls me in immediately. It's a post-rock, sometimes nearing post-metal, approach within alternate rock, while challenging rhythms and changes make it more progressive. They call it "progressive post-rock" themselves, so there you go.

Description/Reviews:
“Corrosive,”...gave me bigtime King’s X vibes the first time I heard it, an automatic “I’m in” in my book. As I progressed through the album, Eroded ended up revealing itself to be a far more nuanced and unique beast than a simple “for fans of King’s X” sticker might indicate — somehow both heavier and more poppy — and yet here I am coming back to that comparison, another proggy power trio that made way more noise than you’d expect and were far better and more influential than most folks gave them credit for. Alessandro Di Benedetti (Mad Crayon) - keyboards, vocals, drums
   With
Rafael Pacha - 12 strings guitar, electric guitar (1, 3, 4, 8)
Federico Tetti (Mad Crayon) - electric guitars (2, 7)
Carmine Capasso - electric guitars (6)
Giovanni Maucieri - drums (5)
Giuseppe Militello - sax (3, 8)

Description/Reviews:
Bookended by two shorter instrumental tracks (actually track 8 is a bonus track...), “Canvas Two” reveals six lovely, soulful, emotional tracks, with the for me high point of the nearly seventeen- and-a-half minute epic titled “Soul of Hundred Lives”... This epic track and the lyrics cover a lot of ground, from delicate piano, to grinding bass synths, to finely constructed ambient sounds and quirky percussion, gravelly male voice that throughout this album reminded me at times of Peter Gabriel or Dave Cousins.

Line-up
Cameron Graves - Piano
Colin Cook - Guitars
Max Gerl - Bass
Mike Mitchell - Drums
   With
Kamasi Washington - Tenor Saxophone (2, 4)

Description/Reviews:
Seven, in diametric contrast, is a hail of bullets: Graves leading bassist Max Gerl, guitarist Colin Cook, and drummer Mike Mitchell (an ex-Clarke bandmate) in a hammering shock of piano-driven riffing, ensemble rush, and hairpin rhythmic turns, mostly in three-minute jolts marked by blitzkrieg solos and the occasional pause for meditative breath. There is the warming balm of Washington’s tenor cameos and Graves’ solo reverie “Fairytales.” But next to the mission-statement scale of The Epic, Seven is as hard and taut as a Ramones album, a fusion fired in the mosh pit.

Description/Reviews:
It presents a irrepressible mix of heavy guitar riffs, powerful aggressiveness, amazing guitar solos, surprising keyboard harmonies and original technical rhythms, blended with Eleonora’s breath-taking, catchy melodies and epic choruses. S.A.V.E. will thrill fans of both melodic and extreme metal music. The album lyrics are focused on human behavior and entwined with the three theological virtues and the seven deadly sins in a gloomy and decadent mood.

Total Time 47:08

Line-up
Nik Svarc - Electric and Acoustc Guitars, Loops
Steve Hanley - Drums, Shaker, Percussion
Martin Longhawn - Organ, Wurlitizer, Piano

Description/Reviews:
In many ways their latest release 20/21 is even more accomplished and enjoyable. It certainly develops the band's sound by adding some Avant touches here and there. Inventive compositions, such as the intriguing The Message Will Differ and the excellent We Elastic offer a different approach to the band's previous album. In these tunes, discordance, effects and a quest to create an abstract canvas of sounds are prominently displayed. These furnish the album with an interesting, but somewhat less accessible set of musical colours.

Lloyd Hanney - Drums
Jamie Dean - Guitars, Piano
   With
Jimmy Scanlan - Additional Guitars (2,3,6)
Jo Quail - Cello (7)

Description/Reviews:
Ghost Tapes #10 ... rather than pick up where the quartet left off in 2018, explores a radically different approach, with the focus fixed on movement and intensity. While the album is certainly the most ferocious GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT full-length to date, it still retains all of the rich musical and emotive elements the band is known for by maneuvering around luminescence whilst offering harsh, deep reflections as well. Works of art like “Burial”, “In Flux” or “Barren Trees”, with additional guitars by Jimmy Scanlan, amongst others, are proof of these sonic illustrations.

Description/Reviews:
First, the Yes influence is obvious and omnipresent across the recording. According to PR info, this was intentional...Second, this is definitely melodic progressive rock. The arrangements are largely complex and dense, offering intrigue tempered by solid song melody, groove, and vocal harmony.

Description/Reviews:
Elephant9 had taken their groovy mix of high energy rock and power jazz as far as they could. In this respect Arrival Of The New Elders comes as a welcome and most timely addition to their recorded output. More varied, mature and reflective, they are as groovy as ever, but more structured and less jam oriented, with the longest tracks clocking in around the seven minute mark.
