Description/Reviews
Now, the lyrical content on “Delusional” is really dark.  It puts us in the mind of a killer, and it can get a bit unsettling at times.  This means that the album is quite grim and atmospheric and shadowy.  I’ve always been impressed with Rick’s ability to create the feelings of texture and emotional instability in his music, and this album is no different.  You will be disturbed and you will feel the torn nature of the killer’s brain.

Description/Reviews
The compositions featured in this album were written in the 2000s, before the band’s first disc was made. After over ten years the world’s changed, and probably we have as well. But has this become a different world?
As we are standing by the highway of pop music, we can take our time and contemplate what happened, what is happening now, and we can dream about tomorrow. Another world is possible, isn’t it?

Line-up
Kirill Sokirko - Piano
Dmitry Malygin - Bass
Roman Smirnov - Drums

Description/Reviews
Fusion Point is a project of the St.-Petersburg pianist Kirill Sokirko. Fusion Point continues the tradition of chamber music in a trio format, which does not so much define the number of performers as the instruments used – piano, bass, and drums. The band plays in the style of fusion – an appropriate label, given the fact that the musicians work between several sub-genres, including jazz-rock, smooth-jazz, funk, and trip hop, along with nu-jazz, lounge, and even some older genres like cool, be-bop, and mainstream/swing. However, since the contemporary understanding of fusion is more often associated with jazz-rock, some critics would say the band's style is better described as modern-jazz. Despite the various styles inherent in their compositions, Fusion Point’s music mainly centers around melodicism, with a sharp definition of musical form. This underscores their background in classical music, and makes their arrangements more accessible and transparent, while the improvisation so characteristic of jazz takes secondary importance. The concept of each composition is to be arranged in such a way to be accessible to most listeners. At the same time, the public’s reaction to the music helps the musicians grow and to set new priorities when working on material. The direction of Fusion Point’s music has been influenced by a number of bands, such as Esbjorn Svensson Trio, Hiromi Uehara, Michel Petrucciani, Niacin, Marcus Miller, and many others.

Sub Genreinstrumental Post Rock

Tracklist
1. And there by the River I lost my Glasses (10:14)
2. Last Days of Summer (8:15)

5. Amnesia (2013) (15:01)

Line-up
Marko - violin
Asya - bass
Igor - guitar
Natasha - drums

Description/Reviews
The record dives deep into intricate layers of swirling guitars and eerie violin melodies, resurrecting that classy sound and attitude of early Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Mono. With dynamics ranging from almost dog-whistle-level of “And there by the River I lost my Glasses” intro to thunder-like “It’s Snowing like it’s the End of the World” coda, the album peaks with re-recorded “Amnesia”, one of the first Krobak pieces ever written. The intensity and the groove are clearly audible on the shortest track of the record, “Broken”.

Country: Russia
Sub GenreArt Rock
LabelMALS
Release date: June 2013
Tracklist
1. Ensign of Fairies, part 1: At the Dawn of the World
2. Ensign of Fairies, part 2: The Golden Age
3. Jerica
4. Ensign of Fairies, part 3: At the Verge of Epochs
5. Ensign of Fairies, part 4: Thus the Ensign Fell

Line-up
Alexander Kaminsky – guitars, vocals
Anton Telkov – string instruments, percussion
Alina Bulat – vocals
Dmitrij Miroshnichenko – bass

Description/Reviews
The style of the new disc most accurately can be described as art rock, though it contains (as the the story goes) composition in styles of folk, progressive, Russian rock and even sometimes art punk rock. The idea of the album is consonant with the works of Soviet science fiction classic Ivan Efremov of super-civilization of the future. The album tells the story of the coming to earth of the Fourth Race of mankind, the symbol of the power of which was the so-called Ensign of Fairies - an extraterrestrial artifact, which for thousands of years guarded  the people of this race from destruction. Fourth Race has reached an incredible technological and spiritual power in mastering of elements of earth and space. At the end of the Third Epoch of domination (about a million years after the appearance of the first man of the Fourth Race) the mystery of Ensign of Fairies was sold by the ruling clan of Keepers of Relics to a hostile clan of the emerging Fifth Race, eventually leading  nations of the earth to the world war and spiritual decline. The main feature of the album is that the birth, rise and collapse of the state meet stages of the life of its protagonist: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and death.

Description/Reviews
A debut full-length album by Moscow-based Batisfera (Bathysphere). Batisfera play complex symphonic prog in the classic style featuring keyboards, flute, and electric & 12-string guitars. The music is an amalgam of Yes (especially Topographic Oceans), Genesis, Camel, Grobschnitt, and a dozen other prog bands. It is sophisticated, constantly changing and evolving. Occasionally it’s heavier than the bands mentioned but remains in a 1970s style. It’s fortunate the album is as instrumental as it is, as the vocals (which are in English) have yet to catch up to the skill level of the instrumentalists. Still, the album is so full of symphonic goodies, it’ll keep your brain releasing endorphins for a good while. The album is a conceptual work, supported by a beautiful 28-page booklet in English. Description/Reviews
Style of the newest Roz Vitalis studio album titled "Patience of Hope" can be also described as the "Unclassifiable Branch of Prog Rock"; Avant Prog, Sympho Prog, Instumental are, perhaps, the most relevant tags. The conception of the album is about the essence and the mysteries of HOPE. In particular, it is about ability to keep in confidence and maintain endurance in the times of troubles. It is possible when human life has been penetrated with the Unfading Sun. (MALS)
