Description/Reviews:
Four piece post-rock band from Kassel, Germany Rædsel release Menetekel which is not a conventional post-rock album. Menetekel sheds light on the compatibility of complex and putatively simple music. The music combines complex elements of progressive rock/progressive metal and accessibility and catchiness of modern rock songs concerning the instrumental approach and the song structures.

Description/Reviews
Besides post-rock, they make references to kraut- rock and noise. Nadira, as an album, sounds moving post-rock that lets you fall deep into the world of "Nadira", the goddess, that is the beginning and the end of it all. Euphoric layers, abstractedly harmonies, complex and melancholic sounds combined with impulsive arrangements of guitars, bass, drums and synths.

Description/Reviews
KATRE is a Turkish band which explores the areas of post-rock / post-metal synthesized with classic eastern tunes and experiments on the sustain of the sound. However, the distinguishing aspect of their musical approach lies in the subtle integration of the eastern tunes in Post-Metal, without being overly an "oriental" band. Encounters is a concept album and focuses on the subject of existence.
By applying the ebow on electric and fretless guitars, KATRE sustains the sound, and in doing so they combine the techniques of the west and the eastern culture, in which they grew up. Inspired by the stages that span conception and birth, to growth and self-awareness, the album explores these ideas through the two chapters, Existing and Existence.

Description/Reviews
“Chasing Light” is all about resiliency, resolve, determination to thrive, and the quest for “good” despite all the negative things around us. It’s about dealing with and responding to adversity. While he has his own personal connection to each track, Rob’s hope is that people who hear this record can relate to the themes the music conveys and apply it to something they’re going through in life.
The tracks are sequenced in a way that take the listener on a journey and there’s a real flow to it all … Innocence, hope, heartbreak, darkness, resilience, and triumph all play a part in telling the story.

Afterlife is the third album from Summer Effect which contains 10 instrumental postrock, progressive songs. In this album they tried to play tones with fractional composition of different time signatures. Simple and unexpected chord progression to produce a unique dynamic, stomping, dark vibe, like what is being experienced on the track Envoy, Clouded Minds or Don’t Let Me Disappear.

Description/Reviews
“Timelapse” is a personal and original synthesis of many post-rock, instrumental and experimental rock sounds of music history. KOVLO’s music moves between romance and anger, hope and despair, creating a melancholic and anxious soundtrack for the contemporary, the past and the future world crisis.
“Timelapse” evokes time, time that passes and can’t be stopped, time that can be recreated with music. Each song title recalls an event that occurred during the birthday of each band member: “Walesa” Lech Walesa who becomes president of Poland (1990), “Opec raid” Carlos the Jackal who attacks the Opec meeting (1975), “The Dakota killing” the end of John Lennon (1980), “Suez” the reopening of the channel (1975), “Lake Nyos” the volcano that kills thousands of people (1986). Every song is a movement of time, a flow that gives the chance to the listener to explore feelings, emotions, images and ideas from the present, the future and the past.

Description/Reviews
The new album “Nothing But Hope” has interesting, unique and colorful nuance in each of its song. It has a comfortable sound between instrumental, rock, post-rock, alternative, experimental. Ibo says “We maintain the minimalism and dynamic of our musical nuance. It has more acoustic elements combined with an electric guitar harmonies, distortion, keyboard, as well as several other instruments.” These instruments sometimes get deeper as in the song “Nothing’s Ever Good Enough For You” and sometime they follow more energetic approach.

Description/Reviews
Sleepstream‘s post-metal sound is interwoven with their post rock aesthetic to create something rather beautiful indeed. The cello is an integral part of this post metal mix, providing a heartbreakingly beautiful, almost poignant, sound. The lilting melodies are exquisite, forming an excellent counter-point to the frenetic guitars – ’Chemtrail Borders II’ is a prime example of this.

Description/Reviews
It is imaginative, boundary-pushing post rock that would easily win over the genre’s most hardened detractors with its display of energy & enthusiasm... Over 48 minutes, Beneath The Watchful Eyes create some truly exceptional soundscapes based on dynamics and imaginative expression. Whilst dynamics are the core of any post-rock album … loud & quiet, hard & soft, noisy & melodious, fast & slow … not every post-rock album displays the same level of imaginative expression that is presented on “We held our breath until our hearts exploded”. The fluidity of the music along with the electronics really helps to set this album apart, and it is in the use of electronics that I find particularly fascinating.

Boris Čegar - keys
Ivan Čkonjević - guitar, bass

Description/Reviews
Ana Never creates one of the most essential post-rock albums of the year. We will never forget the moment we have received the recording and start listening to it. When we heard the whole album, we knew how lucky we were. "We have listened to one of the greatest post-rock album of all the times."

On their new album "Small Years", Ana Never creates exciting and sensual atmosphere and waves of sounds in a lonely planet. We are landing this planet with 26 minutes and 34 seconds long track "Future Wife" where droning guitars slowly runs to climax. The special guest, Tijana Stankovic on violins has made a great contribution to the album and the violin lines of "Future Wife" make the song wear wings accordingly to to quietly plucked guitar notes and drum rolls. We continue traveling with "Half Way" which is the shortest track of the record. We find a coherent dark story here driven by piano / broken hearted guitars. The third track; "Gorgeous One" brings us to the most peaceful areas on this planet, there are lots of things picture here in the 16:14 run time. The last track To Live For is the longest track of the album which brings an energetic and dark conclusion to the album. It's not safe enough to listen while driving because the violent tornado may take you in, you should hide behind your inner shadows before it unfolds gently. (Fluttery Records)
