Tracklist
1. Crimson (2:36)
2. Being Unnecessary (4:15)
3. Silence Is Medicine (3:46)
4. Santurnday (3:32)
5. The Echo (3:32)

11. The Buildings Are Mountains (3:47)

Total Time 40:47

Line-up
Thanasis Georgiadis - Guitars
George - Bass
King Dragon - Drums

Description/Reviews
Greece’s Rammen and their album The Echo & The System is yet another example of the fundamentals of heavy and sludgy post-metal done well. Closer to the likes of Telepathy and If These Trees Could Talk, the band have a more than solid formula of reverb and tremolo-washed guitar melodies gliding over driving grooves. Tracks like “Silence Is Medicine,” “In Sorrow,” and “The Buildings Are Mountains” hit hard in just the right ways to nod along, while moments of lull in tracks like “Something Went Terribly Wrong…” and “Urban Scavenger” are a perfectly tuned and darkly mellow contrast that breaks up the similar mid-tempo tracks that fill the album. This isn’t the kind of album that will immediately knock you on your ass and demand your attention. It works in more subtle ways than that. But what Rammen lack in technical prowess they more than make up in building a consistent and compelling musical environment that carries through its entirety without feeling too repetitive. It’s a more than solid album that works in large part because it functions as albums should, a sum greater than its individual parts. (heavyblogisheavy.com)

Line-up
Zack Zalon - Guitars, Bass, Keyboards
Mike Mangini (Dream Theater, Steve Vai) - Drums
Brendon Cassidy - Orchestral Arrangements
Larry Davis - Narration

Description/Reviews
...yes, this is the band that is heavily being pushed as Mike Mangini’s new project (not enough credit going to Richard Chycki, despite his significant role), and yes, there are a lot of superficial elements of classic sounding Dream Theater here. This comparison is only skin deep though, and the music on display here takes much from a wide array of ‘classic’ acts to build its familiar soundscapes. From the acoustics and structural deviations of Rush and Yes, to the playful melodies of Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert, everything flows through well trodden ground in a way that will either come off as uninspired and derivative, or comfortable and fun.

Description/Reviews
The Hands is the trio´s sixth album and once again displays a totally uncompromising and intriguing mix of (mostly) heavy, dark and intensely burning music whether one decide on calling it jazz or rock. The album closes on a quiet and reflective note with the appropriately titled "I Guard Her To Rest. Declaring Silence".

Hannes Grossman (Necrophagist, Obscura) - drums
   With
Bruce Lamont (Yakuza, Corrections House) - baritone saxophone (1, 2)
Kevin Hufnagel (Gorguts, Dyshythmia) - guitar solo (1, 5)
Fester (Burials, Humorous) - guitar solo (3)
Fabian Vestod - drums (8)

Description/Reviews
The end product might not immediately make sense to everyone. The melodies are weird, yet conventional somehow. The drumming is distincly in the style of Hannes’s technical work, but the production is like old-school avant-garde. And the singing, Jason Mcmaster’s voice is power metal gone weird. The band somehow skirt the line between familiar enough to be cheesy and bizarre enough to be “too much”, yet don’t fall into either trap. Instead, they’re consistently unsettling while being oddly listenable. The uncomfortable place the listening experience puts one in is exactly the reason why this album is so brilliant. I’ve went in circles trying to convey that feeling, but in the end it’s hard to put to words. Which is why you should go listen to Howling Sycamore right now. It’s the cleverest album of the month and while still being so fun to listen to. (heavyblogisheavy.com)

Description/Reviews
I suspect the audience for this album will mainly be the more curious of Tull aficionados which is somewhat of a pity as in many ways the album is practically a definition of the word "progressive".... The melodies and arrangements are sublime and hearing this solo work from Palmer makes one realise just how much of an impact she had on the classic Tull sound.
