Description/Reviews:
The group ... play improvised, instrumental and unflinchingly exploratory cosmic rock. Veering between the already-blurry lines that border heavy psychedelia, classic-style prog and Hawkwindian space fare. ... That might make Four Riders Take Space Mountain particularly engaging for newcomers, and where some other releases in the vast swath thereof pull from different sessions and offer what feel like extended sections of broader works or are just executed with various aims on their own, the fact that “Approach,” “Ascent” and “Summit” move so smoothly ... and flow so righteously between active and atmospheric sections, ..., as well as the sheer sense of float that comes with the arrival at “Summit,” means that Four Riders Take Space Mountain is a standout even among the band’s other work in being a joy to follow through its progression.

Description/Reviews:
This album was created out of series of jam sessions. Basic mixes were sent to Dr Space, who then, jammed along as if he was playing with the band, the files were sent to Robbi, who then mixed, added a few overdubs and the magic was created. For Side D, the opposite happened and Dr Space created the basic tracks and 3rd ear jammed along. So what does it sound like? Space rock with a cool ethnic or electronic vibe at times. Side A and B are more rocking while side C and D are more ambient with spaced out trips featuring Glissando guitars,  treated flutes and Mizmar-like sounds from an old guitar synth.

1. Psyche Remade (8:19)
2. Astral Traveler (6:15)

Antti "Yskä" Ylijääskö - saxophone (3)
Tyhjä Pää (Void Head) - analog space sounds and drones (5)
Joonatan Elokuu - synths, mellotron and vocals (4)

Description/Reviews:
"Psyche Remade" starts off the album in a powerful and groovy manner. I can already feel my conciousness expanding! Dr. Space's synth sounds fit in perfectly. There is a more relaxed middle part and then they go again. Great! "Astral Traveller" is another strong, heavy space rock blaster to blow your mind. "Tyhjyyden Mantra" is sung in Finnish and this is maybe closer to the excellent space metal band Tuliterä in style. The sax adds more progressive and ethnic vibes, though.

Øresund Space Collective "Chatoyant Breath"

Country: Denmark/Sweden
Genre(s): Instrumental Psychedelic, Space Rock
Label: Space Rock Productions (SRP050)
Format: CD, digital, vinyl
Release date: May 10, 2018
Tracklist:
1. Peaceful Patterns (28:37)
2. Angular Ambrosia (28:02)
3. Turbulent Trepidation (23:21)
4. Chatoyant Breath (36:08)

Total Time 116:08

Line-up:
Nick- Guitar (2,3,4)
Mogens- Synthesizers
Dr Space- Synthesizers
Jiri- Bass
   With
Martin- Drums
Gary- Guitar (1,2,4)
Nicklas (Papir) - Guitar (1,3,4)

Description/Reviews:
ØSC had been at the Black Tornado recording back in November but our friend Gary (Yawning Man) was in town and wanted to jam. It had been a long time since the main touring band of ØSC (Nick, Jiri, Mogens, myself) had been in the studio. We grabbed Martin, who plays with Nick, Jiri and Mogens in the Univerzals as well as with Jiri in his band, Fri Galaxe to play drums. He had played quite a few gigs with us in Denmark the last years. Nicklas from Papir, was a great choice to play with Gary as both are fans of each other and we love to play with Nicklas. We had a cool band.
This session was pretty fast, all done in one day and just 5 jams recorded. The vinyl is an edited version of the jams, while the CD features extended versions of the tracks so you can hear more or less the entire course of the musical journey. The music on these sections is more spaced out, relaxed and exploratory as it flows and weaves and grows tentacles to tickle and scratch your inner thoughts. Enjoy the sensations. (Dr Space)

1. 7 Or 7 Or Not (17:44)
2. Sam Gopal's Dream (13:27)
3. Freaky R&R (7:14)
4. Ravi In Space (17:35)
5. Stoned Dead Your Cleaver (18:22)
6. In The Kitchen (2:40)

Vince (Red Elektra) - Guitars, Effects
Martin (Litmus) - Bass, Mellotron, Synthesizers
Dr Space (Øresund Space Collective, Black Moon Circle) - Modular Synthesizer
Jon (Earthling Society) - Drums, Percussion

Description/Reviews:
Proceedings kick off with '7 Or 7 Or Not', a take on Hawkwind's '7 By 7' and is a wonderful swirling psychedelic track that harks back to the seventies. The guitar is reminiscent of Pink Floyd in their pomp - that same rich tone and meandering melody that has soundtracked a thousand trips..it is a lysergic journey that maintains a chilled aspect despite/because of some fantastic playing. The addition of some spacey electronica courtesy of Dr Space gives things an air of cosmic spacerock so beloved of Hawkwind. This is 'grown up' psychedelia - there is no bombastic shredding, just some pure and utter joyful music.

Description/Reviews:
On their new album STONES OF A FEATHER 3rd Ear Experience have taken full advantage of the musical possibilities unique to space rock. It is clear that their environment, the Mojave desert, with its wide open spaces, big skies and rugged landscapes, have helped them to blossom a modern desert music, rich in the complex overtones of 60’s psychedelic rock.
STONES OF A FEATHER, 3rd Ear Experiences 4th album, is a curious mixture of the old and the new; reaching back into the reckless abandonment of Cream live circa: 1967 to Ornette Coleman’s free jazz, diving down into the deep well of Krautrock to soaring on fuzzy Sabbath like riffs of contemporary stoner rock. Yet no generalization is ultimately true of 3rd Ear Experience.
The music was derived from spontaneous ideas that came up during live jams on their 2015 tour of Europe and from free form jamming at the FurstWurld Gallery of Music and Performing Arts where the band records.
The album guests 18 local desert musicians considered by many to be the cream of the desert crop! Dug Pinnick of Kings X fame, returns once again to add his heavy bottom growl to the brew.

The Univerzals are back with their 2nd full length release. The amazing artwork on this record was done by the one and only Ed Unitsky and fits perfectly the vibe and mode of this excellent spacey psychedelic rock record. While the material was recorded over the last ten years it all sounds new and fresh with an excellent sound production.
