Description/Reviews:

A French instrumental duo that blends massive progressive metal with ambient post-metal. Founded in the Norwegian fjords, the band emerged from a desire to express the dissonance of human interactions with nature, inaction in the face of the environmental crisis, and the rise of individualism. Their music serves as an outlet, a call for introspection and solidarity, seeking to restore balance.

‘I(m)MORTAL’ immerses listeners in vast, emotionally charged landscapes that question human relationships and their connections to nature. Through this debut album, Ølyp explores individual consciousness in our world, examining both introspective perspectives and our impact on the planet: how and why have we become such a threat to our own cradle?
