Description/Reviews: 

Simply by being able to declare that Dust and Disquiet is not Waking Season is a feat in itself. Because now we get head-banging, straightforward numbers like “Arcs of Command” nestled next to prog-metal, singing-is-included epics like “Echo and Abyss.” There are no more rules in a genre that is typically known for them. Case in point, “Run Dry” is basically an orchestral folk song, not just featuring vocals, but dominated by them. These guys have been hiding some damn good voices from us, and “Run Dry” shows the exhaustion of grief with lyrics like, “So weep til you drown / Or until you run dry.” Maybe the original point of post-rock was finding ways to express the nearly impossible, but on Dust and Disquiet Caspian have given a beautiful voice to instrumental music.
