One band that would be a good reference to compare On The Raw with is Snarky Puppy. Both of them offer some dynamic and extremely interesting joyful music, that becomes even more interesting with repeated listens. On The Raw is not as ‘’way out there’’ as Snarky Puppy in exploring different genres. They stay closer to Jazz Rock (and Prog).
