Description/Reviews:
Inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s dreamy ode to Shakespearean character Ophelia, ‘A Dark Poem’ reads as a grand and gloomy album trilogy that takes listeners to crushing new highs and the deepest, darkest and most personal depths. Whether it’s the second wave black metal that drives Part I, the raw and aching ballads that support Part II or the bold 16-minute orchestral finale to Part III, the results are resounding down to the last epic note.

Recorded at Wells Music Studios

Description/Reviews:
The Silent Architect is the album that feels like everything TERAMAZE does best all in one place. It strikes the perfect balance between big progressive epics, beautiful and emotional ballads, and hard-hitting singles that land with larger than life impact.
The songs flow naturally, shifting between powerful moments and quieter reflections without ever losing that signature TERAMAZE feel. It’s technical when it needs to be, melodic when it matters most, and always driven by strong and decisive songwriting.
More than anything, this album feels honest and fully realised, like the band leaning completely into who they are. The result is the most TERAMAZE-sounding record we’ve ever made.
Dynamic, emotional, heavy, and memorable from start to finish.

Description/Reviews:
Here we get tight, uptempo and intricate riff and rhythm constellations alternating with gentler, flowing and strictly melodic movements. Heavier, blues-flavored arrangements appear on the concluding 'Crimson Sunset', and delicate interludes of various kinds and straight forward passages with more of a hard rock alignment are just as numerous as more quirky passages and the occasional blazing metal run. Few of the songs on this album stick to one specific expression, most of them alternates between many. The vocals are powerful when needed, emotional when appropriate and careful in display elsewhere. With a high quality mix and production throughout. Whether this is an album that can be defined inside of the progressive metal tradition will be a subjective opinion, but I'm fairly certain that many fans of more contemporary progressive metal in particular may well find this album to be an interesting one. Description/Reviews:
If Green Carnation set sail from a familiar place of melancholy on The Shores of Melancholia, then Sanguis finds the band far out at sea, fighting to stay afloat against the storm that’s raging in their minds. Whereas Part I only scratched at the surface, the epic title track that opens Part II vows to forgive and forget old bloodied wounds. Over the course of nine minutes, cresting cleans and swells of organ from long-time producer and newest member Endre Kirkesola try and wash away the familial wreckage — only for a traumatic childhood memory to come flooding back during the song’s doomy coda.
The heaviness that launched Green Carnation during Part I of A Dark Poem has aged like a fine wine on Sanguis. “Sweet to the Point of Bitter” balances meaty riffs with a pleasing melody and underlying notes of resentment. “You will acknowledge I was broken / Before you came around”. With a guitar solo that winds like the winds of change, “I Am Time” demands immediate recognition.
But while “Fire In Ice” stokes the political flames viewed from The Shores of Melancholia with pounding windchills of double bass, Part II reveals Green Carnation at their most raw and vulnerable.

Description/Reviews:
This was an outstanding Progressive album, and in many ways, it might point towards where the genre is headed for the future. The band has some serious chops, but they don’t overtake the sound, which is heavily focused on an emotional impact. It kept moving forward…branching out, exploring, uncovering rocks that used to be a permanent part of the scene, and each transition was completely smooth. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Stefano “Ghigas” Calvagno - Guitars, Bass
David Brown - Keyboards, Clean Vocals (8), Growl
Simone Alberti - Drums

Artwork by Nello Dell’Omo (ArtForMusic Studio)

Description/Reviews:
Blending the drive of European power metal with progressive structures and modern rhythmic precision, the album showcases Metatrone at their most focused, aggressive and cohesive.
Riffs are tighter and more assertive, grooves more grounded and impactful while melodic lines retain the crystalline character that defines the band’s sound. The production balances analog warmth with contemporary clarity, pushing the band toward a more direct and powerful sonic identity.
At its core, “SANGUEACQUA” explores the concept of identity and belonging - artistic, personal and spiritual.
The album confronts imitation and conformity in “Facsimile”, reflects on collective oppression in “Stato Infame” and challenges the idolatry of power and wealth in “Fuori dal Tempio”. Spiritual identity remains central, expressed as a call to action as well as a mystical root in “Anima Christi” based on an ancient Latin prayer.

Description/Reviews:
Serving as the conceptual counterpart to 2016’s acclaimed Phenotype, Genotype is not a continuation but a rebirth. For nearly a decade, fans speculated about its existence, but what arrives now is not a relic of unfinished ideas - it’s something entirely new, written from scratch and self-produced. Genotype distils the essence of TEXTURES’ DNA into eight new songs, mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus). Lyrically, the album speaks to the unheard - introverts, outsiders, and those navigating internal worlds that often go unseen, standing as an ode to authenticity and resilience.
Featuring the singles Closer To The Unknown, At The Edge of Winter (featuring Charlotte Wessels) and Vanishing Twin, the record balances technical precision with powerful songwriting - the hallmarks that have made TEXTURES one of progressive metal’s most respected names over their 20+ year career.

Alex Eckman-Lawn: Album Artwork

Description/Reviews:
“Carving a Dragon” was the first track written for the album, and one of the most challenging. Inspired by Robin Hobb’s Assassin’s Quest, the song symbolizes pouring one’s soul into creation and marks the beginning of Koepke’s journey as a solo recording artist. With its energetic, uplifting fantasy feel, it stands in contrast to the moodier, sci-fi-themed tracks that follow.
The album itself is a genre-defying instrumental narrative, weaving through symphonic fantasy, sci-fi textures, and progressive complexity. Koepke describes the sound as “spacey, weird, melodic, melancholic, happy,” and cites influences ranging from Dream Theater and Haken to Wintersun and Caligula’s Horse. Divided into three distinct acts, "Primordial Reverie" challenges listeners to experience the full arc of its story, with recurring motifs and evolving themes that reward repeat listens.

Description/Reviews:
"Quadragenta at Finem Mundi" unfolds as a seven-act instrumental journey through the collapse and rebirth of civilization. It opens with “Tripel Ultimatum,” a high-adrenaline, riff-heavy track that introduces three survivors of a nuclear disaster. “Vorágine” follows with a whirlwind of acoustic chaos, mirroring the consumerist frenzy and environmental decay of modern society. “Animal Inteligenz” offers a satirical take on artificial intelligence as a new deity, exploring the decline of human intellect and the rise of evolved animals and machines. The fourth act, “Inspireichon Burn,” channels death-metal fury to depict the devastation of thermonuclear war and the greed of war profiteers, born from a spontaneous burst of inspiration. “Vairal Madnez,” the most collaborative track, critiques digital obsession, fake news, and biological warfare, and stands out as a favorite to perform. “Aztral Configureited” shifts the tone to cosmic reflection, imagining planetary alignment as life on Earth fades and a new cycle begins. The album closes with “Ameba Emenens,” a fully acoustic and introspective finale, where a lone ameba survives the apocalypse to restart life, offering a hopeful end to a dark and prophetic musical odyssey.
