They are finally back this year with a far darker and more conceptual piece of work by the title of "Lucifer Rising". The music this time is inspired by the Images of Kenneth Anger's 1971 cult classic by the same title. Heavy guitar riffs, analog synths, theremin and other vintage instruments allow the band to create soundscapes that bring to mind the works of early Kraut monsters such as Amon Duul II and Popol Wuh, combined with the heavyness of Black sabbath, and Hawkwind space rituals. Lucier Rising is without a doubt a step forward for the band, a true hallucinogenic trip into a musical dimension where ancient civilizations, Thelemic magick, Psychedelic drugs and rock n roll all blend perfectly together. Recorded using 100% vintage analogue equipment, Lucifer Rising could have been recorded in the first half of the 70s. (justforkicks)
