Description/Reviews
Fireflies in the Wood is a concept album that develops, therefore, on two levels: thematic (nature and man) and temporal (four seasons that characterize the existences of both, the first cyclically, the second in a linear way: spring -summer-autumn-winter and childhood-youth-maturity-old age). The lyrical aspect has fallen very well in a musical context with dramatic and suggestive atmospheres where theinternational component is strong. In the mix of alternative rock, progressive rock, symphonic rock, psychedelia and melody we can perceive many influences that wink at the "soft side" of bands such as Spock's Beard, Soen and Riverside, passing by The Pineapple Thief and Steven Wilson soloist up to go towards the romantic element of the Real Illusions of "Impheria" cleaned of massive distortions.
