Dream Theater's keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, album of unique blend of progressive and classical music performed by Sinfonietta Consonus and featuring Jordan on piano, synth and iPad. In writing this composition, Jordan  was able to bring together the elements of classical music along with the rock power and intensity that he is known for in his work with Dream Theater. Explorations for Keyboard and Orchestra is a total "progressive" music experience. "Progressive" in that it is a forward thinking composition fusing classical and progressive/metal sensibilities, but progressive also in showcasing new music technology.
