Description/Reviews
Admittedly, “Artic Wind” serves as a seven-minute preview of the rest of the record. The song commences with a solitary guitar, offering its woeful articulation, one note at a time; but after the first minute, the group brings in the drums and the bass. The build here ruminates a bit too long, but there is an abrupt change that drives the track into a psychedelic trance, before busting into an intense, poignant solo.

Description/Reviews
Rising Core is a Melodic Progressive Metal band from Barcelona. Fronted by Veronica Galindo, there are 10 cuts here, the album kicking off with ‘A Call Breaks The Silence’ that stops just when you think it is about to get going. Second track ‘Out Of The Blue’ is a progressive masterpiece with an awesome fist pumping chorus, while ‘Broken’ slows it down a tad, lyrically a rather sad tune .There are further awesome tracks on what is a very good album including ‘Falling’, the good ‘Reunion’, the pounding ‘Going Up’ with its catchy chorus and the orchestrated film score orientated closer ‘Under Thoughts’. This album is a very mature release from this band, the songs being well structured and melodic to boot. (Dave at avenheartmusic.com)

Description/Reviews
“Dead as Autumn Leaves” is a very melodic, progressive track that might not be as “apeshit” as what comes before it, yet it’s still heavy and it showcases the band’s range and song writing talents. Along the same lines, the title track was one that made my jaw drop. There’s a level of depth to that track that most band’s can’t even approach. But then things actually get even BETTER with the NEXT track, the epic 9 minute “Verses of Violence.”

Description/Reviews
The music itself is very layered, grand, majestic, symphonically orchestrated but with a decidedly rock edge and while it’s not what I would call heavy there are certainly many moments of intensity. Songs will build with this intensity only to stop suddenly and move off melodically in another direction. Each of these pieces is made up of many different melodies, some complimentary some contrasting all of which adds to the music’s complexity. One moment the music will be heavily orchestrated with layers of keyboards, then it becomes quite percussive and then later still it incorporates little heard ethnic influences.

Description/Reviews
...Art Against Agony have once again produced a mind-twisting release, something they are already known in the experimental, avant-garde and prog metal underground.
The group’s can-do attitude of mixing odd experimentation techniques into a metal state has earned them success since their 2014 debut “Three Short Stories.” The particular experiment AAA undertake is the fusion of contrasting genres, principally the extreme side of metal and fancy jazz.
