Description/Reviews
The style is melodic progressive metal in the vein of early Dream Theater (period When Dream And Day Unite and Images And Words) and early Pain Of Salvation (period Remedy Lane). Eriksson has a pleasant powerful voice and has the ability to express his emotions when singing the lyrics to the song.
The album is a concept album that took almost six years from idea to release. It's the touching story of one man's journey between hope and despair through life. There is a lot of high-quality progressive metal to be heard on this album from all the musicians. Absolutely my favourite album track is the impressive Watching Me Bleed that probably summarises what D.O.A. stands for musically. (Peter Swanson at dprp.net)
