Jack DeMaio - Guitar, bass, virtual instruments

Description/Reviews:
BlurryCloud is the vehicule for multi-instrumentalist Jack DeMaio, so on Far From The Sea he plays all instruments and he does so with an astonishing skill level. If I was to categorize the music I hear on this album it would be as ''Instrumental Prog Metal'', even though there are many mellow moments (sometimes almost ambient) mixed in with the heavier stuff.
DeMaio can play the keyboards to levels approaching those of Jordan Rudess or Derek Sherinian, guitar shred like the best of them (maybe a hint of Steve Vai?) and play some mighty powerfull drums. He can also be very melodic when needed so Far From The Sea is a heck of a roller coaster ride. Adding to that an excellent production for this CD, I'm convinced all fans of the genre (or of the artists I have listed) should really enjoy this album. (Marc at proggnosis.com)

Ben Tucker - Vocals, Bass
David McQuay - Drums, Guitar
Cody Finkner - Guitar, Synthesizer, Vocals

Description/Reviews:
The Lunar Era’s debut full length album is a solid mix of Stoner Metal, Doom, Punk and Prog Rock.  The music covers a wide spectrum of genres and sounds.  Heavy, fuzzed out riffs are complimented by lush, extended instrumental passages of psychedelic ambience mixed with explosive prog rock time signature changes.  The musical landscape is accompanied by lyrical content dealing with a planet gone wrong and a fragile sense of reality in hopes of leaving the listener unnerved and wondering if the doom is impending or if it’s already here.  Think Black Sabbath, Mogwai, High On Fire and Captain Beyond with a heavy dose of punk aesthetic.

Description/Reviews:
Sonically following on in a similar fashion to the largely instrumental "zero-one", the band has nonetheless reintroduced more of a focus on vocal-led melodies, with all three members contributing. The songwriting again journeys between quiet, melodic mood-pieces to longer, dynamic passages that build to a crashing 'wall of sound' crescendo.

Description/Reviews:
...this three-piece ... have been announced as a "straightforward breath of fresh air" in their crafting of a very quaffable blend of prog rock, alternative rock and dark rock.
I'd certainly go for the "breath of fresh air" bit. Whilst having a dark edge, the music here is, on the whole, bright and uplifting thanks to its huge tsunami of energy and Layne's bright, clear vocal. As for "straightforward"; the skill in crafting songs which refuse to stay still for more than a few bars, is anything but that.

Description/Reviews:
The wide range of styles on offer on Wrong Meeting highlights the band's dazzling creativity and provides a memorable and zesty soundscape for the listener to experience.
If you like albums that are easily accessible and embed in your mind after a few listens, then the Wrong Meeting is probably not for you. This is an album that is durable and progressive in every sense of the word. It has countless levels to explore and numerous secrets to disclose. In Wrong Meeting, Lapis Lazuli has continued to develop their unique style, but have pushed the boundaries even further. The album is not easily categorised, and the combination of so many influences and genre's blurs any labels that might be given to the band.
