Description/Reviews:
Missing Times conceptually probes notions of UFOs – specifically, the phenomenon in which UFO abductees lose memory of their experiences aboard ships from outer space. And beyond the sci-fi elements of that subject matter, there are universal themes.
Missing Times is their ultimate statement, as its displaced rhythmic structures weave amongst each other in the foreground. The album—most of which was recorded live in the studio—started with the title and concept, and the music fell into place.
Ghost Rhythms seamlessly create sonic quilts of interweaving riffage and soaring melodies. Their sound straddles genres, wearing inspiration from modern avant-leaning influences like The Claudia Quintet or Bad Plus—both ensembles that feature jazz-associated musicians reaching toward rock, pop, and classical influences—as easily as it does vintage progressive rock groups like National Health, particularly in their propensity toward rhythmic experimentation and flexibility, as well as genre-defying Chamber Rock/ avant progessive ensembles like Lars Hollmer / Von Zamla, Art Zoyd and Miriodor.

Description/Reviews:
Krakov constructed a concept album inspired by nine scientific, psychological, and philosophical theories. Each song explores a different idea, ranging from Chaos Theory and Game Theory to Social Identity Theory, Determinism, Epigenetics, and Reciprocal Altruism. Together, the songs form a larger narrative examining the forces that shape human behavior, society, relationships, memory, and choice.
Musically, "Symmetry in Chaos" blends progressive rock and metal, hard rock, and atmospheric elements while maintaining a strong focus on melody and emotional connection. The album artwork visually reflects its central theme by presenting opposing forces existing simultaneously: structure and disorder, movement and balance, symmetry and chaos.

Projecte Astrolabi "L’Antiga Energia"

Country: Italy
Genre(s): Instrumental Progressive Rock, Jazz-Rock, Psychedelic
Format: digital,vinyl
Release date: October 19, 2026
Tracklist
1 Portadors de l'Antiga Energia
2 Laniakea
3 On és tothom
4 Tholins
5 Velocitat de quàsar
6 Desplaçament al roig
7 Espectre òptic continu
8 Un horitzó després de l'altre
9 Un punt blau pàl·lid
10 La força de l'invisible

Credits
Guillem Plana - guitar
Eloi Escudé - keyboards
Isaac Coll - bass
Arnau Altimir - drums

Description/Reviews:
Their music moves somewhere between jazz-rock, psychedelia, improvisation and progressive rock, without being particularly interested in fitting neatly into any one of those categories. Each piece on L’Antiga Energia begins with an idea, phenomenon or question connected to the cosmos. Laniakea, tholins, quasars, redshift, the Fermi paradox and the image of Earth captured by Voyager 1 all appear somewhere in the background of the record. But these ideas are only starting points. L’Antiga Energia is not an astronomy lesson set to music. The band uses them to imagine atmospheres, landscapes and musical journeys. The album moves between quiet, contemplative passages, more intense sections and open spaces for improvisation.

Kanaan "Kanaan"

Country: Norway
Genre(s): Instrumental Psychedelic, Stoner, Fusion
Label: Jansen Records
Format: CD, digital, vinyl
Release date: October 16, 2026
Tracklist
1. P1800
2. Silver Cloud Blues
3. Ouroboros
4. The Wonderer (Part I-V)

Credits
Ask Vatn Strøm - electric and acoustic guitars
Eskild Mørtl Myrvoll - bass, synthesizers, Mellotron, additional guitars, no-input mixer
Ingvald Vassbø - drums, percussion

Recorded in Athletic Sound, Halden between the 1st and 7th of September 2025 by Dag Erik Johansen. Additional overdubs were recorded by the band in RCS studios.
Mixed by Dag Erik Johansen
Mastered by George Tanderø
Cover design by Bianca Brandner.

Description/Reviews:
With their grand and eclectic new album, Kanaan digs even deeper into the diverse genres that have defined their music. The melodic sections boast strong, catchy qualities; the psychedelic parts are wilder and more unhinged; and the retro, analog sounds feel vintage and unpolished. And when it comes to riffs, there are no weight loss drugs involved here—they’re heavier than ever.
Yet, even as the band continues to evolve, their distinct Kanaan sound remains intact. The band themselves describe the album as a celebration of everything they’ve achieved musically and artistically so far—but also everything they’ve experienced and accomplished as close friends playing together.

Confusion Field "Resilience Remains"

Country: Finland
Genre(s): Progressive Rock
Format: CD, digital
Release date: September 25, 2026
Tracklist
  1. Maintain the Uncertainty
  2. Conjuring Conflict
  3. Sea of Irrelevance
  4. Blame Gravity
  5. Is That All
  6. A New Code
  7. The Echo Collector
  8. Restricted Area
  9. Graceful Deceit

Credits
Tomi Kankainen - all instruments, vocals and songwriting
    Ecxept
Martino Malacrida - drums

Description/Reviews:
Resilience Remains is more synth-driven than the previous albums, although the first single “Maintain the Uncertainty” would suggest otherwise. Its heavy riffing and powerhouse drumming starts the album with a bang. The most notable change is the drumwork of Italian session drummer Martino Malacrida, whose powerful and highly dynamic playing brings a new dimension to the arrangements. Lyrically Resilience Remains deals with disillusionment, alienation and the darker mechanisms behind human behaviour in a world shaped by conformity and hidden power structures. Beneath the weight of failure and frustration runs a persistent search for meaning, new ways forward and the possibility of breaking free from the patterns that hold us back.

Recorded by Chiaran Verheyden & David Castel
Mixed by Chiaran Verheyden
Mastered by Chiaran Verheyden

Description/Reviews:
A French instrumental duo that blends massive progressive metal with ambient post-metal. Founded in the Norwegian fjords, the band emerged from a desire to express the dissonance of human interactions with nature, inaction in the face of the environmental crisis, and the rise of individualism. Their music serves as an outlet, a call for introspection and solidarity, seeking to restore balance.
‘I(m)MORTAL’ immerses listeners in vast, emotionally charged landscapes that question human relationships and their connections to nature. Through this debut album, Ølyp explores individual consciousness in our world, examining both introspective perspectives and our impact on the planet: how and why have we become such a threat to our own cradle?

Dan Flynn - drums, bongos, percussion
   With
Matt Walsh  - bass guitar (7), bass pedals (6)

Description/Reviews:
The album pushes further into the rich musical territory the band first began exploring decades ago. For songwriter Chris Flynn, the album’s title reflects both its musical structure and its deeper philosophical themes. “These songs morph together as dreams often do. They contain a continuing thread or theme, again a definition of dreams. And in a larger sense, we prepare for the infinite, our disappearance, by defining the finite, our Dreams of the Disappeared.”
That dream-like continuity flows throughout the album, where melodies evolve organically and individual songs feel like chapters within a larger musical narrative. The band’s distinctive identity remains intact, led by the unmistakable sound of Shishonee Flynn’s harp — still one of the most original instruments in progressive rock.

Description/Reviews:
Named after the geometric structure and harmonic nature of existence, the album sees the Ozrics once again weaving together soaring guitar melodies, intricate rhythms, lush synth textures and deep, hypnotic grooves into the kind of free-flowing psychedelic odyssey that has become their trademark. From the driving pulse of "Guardstones" to the cosmic momentum of "Space Platform", Harmonic Mind is packed with the flowing musicianship and exploratory spirit that fans have come to expect and adore. "Malachite" pays tribute to one of Ed Wynne's favourite minerals, while also giving centre stage to his custom sandalwood acoustic from Kif Wood Guitars, complete with a beautiful malachite inlay around the sound hole. It's one of many moments that highlights the warmth and detail running throughout the album, alongside the fluid interplay between Ed Wynne's guitar and Silas Neptune's ever-shifting synth landscapes.

Description/Reviews:
The material has a distinctly cinematic character and is built around the sound of a virtual symphony orchestra. Its concept was inspired by the work of Władysław Hasior, who created multilayered compositions from seemingly incompatible fragments of reality. In a similar way, Sławomir Nietupski brings together a variety of styles, sounds and artistic personalities on the album.
The word “assemblage” in the title refers to the process of creating a coherent whole from diverse elements, while “cinematic idioms” highlights the narrative and evocative nature of the music, which unfolds like a soundtrack to a film that does not exist. The album features six elaborate compositions with a total running time of nearly 50 minutes. Based on lyrics by poet Izabela Turska-Kamrowska, the songs explore everyday doubts and emotions, feelings of separation and alienation, as well as the search for faith and joy in everyday life.

Description/Reviews:
Let's THRAK Again lives deeply within the spiritual world where King Crimson compositions dwell, even pulling in specific motivic elements from the classic THRAK album. The band describe it as instrumental chamber music, but the chamber is enormous, loud, dark, and experimental. Musicians purposely designed and arranged these pieces to be performed live as a raw trio, without leaning heavily on electronic safety nets. It is intricate, beautiful, and in your face.
The band is releasing two entirely distinct experiences mixed by two different Italian masters: Reel One (mixed by Stefano Castagna) and Reel Two (mixed by Fabio Trentini).
These aren't just slightly tweaked audio files. They feature completely different mixes and entirely different track orders. Let each reel wash over you as its own separate journey. The shifting track sequences and sonic architectures allow an entirely different emotional landscape to unfold.

Description/Reviews:
Inspired by Arthur Rimbaud’s dreamy ode to Shakespearean character Ophelia, ‘A Dark Poem’ reads as a grand and gloomy album trilogy that takes listeners to crushing new highs and the deepest, darkest and most personal depths. Whether it’s the second wave black metal that drives Part I, the raw and aching ballads that support Part II or the bold 16-minute orchestral finale to Part III, the results are resounding down to the last epic note.
