Hegemone  plays  a  very  original  style  of  music  that  combines  the  more  melodic  side  of  black  metal  with  the  heaviness  of  sludge  and  a  good  amount  of  progressive,  post  rock  and  shoegaze  elements  to  create  some  very  interesting  sounding  music,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  heavy  while  the  lyrics  cove r dark,  melancholic  and  philosophical  themes.
