“Out of the Gate” sounds like a ’70s record conceived by musicians who, while capable of composing the most complex of prog-rock suites, concentrate on melody, the power of simplicity and the strength of the arrangements instead; it is no coincidence that the album contains two tributes to guitarist Gordon Giltrap (the unreleased “A Deed within a Dream” and the arrangement of “12 Towers”, a song that Giltrap himself has given to Corvaglia on the occasion of this album): the essence of his compositions is clearly evident here, as well as the influence of the most immediate and ‘catchy’ cuts written by progressive rock bands such as King Crimson, Genesis and Caravan, combined with the expressive charisma of the ex-Marillion Fish; all of that exceptionally blends in the eleven minutes of the ending title track, closing a work full of shades that surprises with every new listening!Media/Samples
Ghosts of Jupiters’ third LP Keepers of the Newborn Green explores the Boston area band’s song growth from the organ and guitar-based space rock to British pastoral prog. Where the guitar rock/organ-oriented shades of Traffic and Jeff Beck Group showed in the band’s earlier work, Ghosts of Jupiter have progressed into a storybook setting where medieval imagery dominate as the flourishing sounds of Wishbone Ash merge with the Peter Gabriel era Genesis. The album "Allium: Una Storia" is a concept album which takes as its subject a real band "Allium" that Tillison saw play and jammed with in Italy when he was a teenager in the mid 1970s.The new band -TRT-'s album is an imagining of the record Allium might have made. Written in the style of the music that they played, the band were joined by Italian lyricist Antonio De Sarno (Moongarden, Barock Project, Mangala Vallis) who, in keeping with Tillison’s original music, wrote the kind of lyrics that might have been penned by Allium at that time.The album, whilst paying homage to this and many other forgotten Rock Progressivo Italiano bands, is all original material written in 2021.The album features full-on European style progressive rock music and of particular note are the incomparable Italian language vocals of Roberto Tiranti which bring a new dimension to the established work of Tillison & Reingold
