Description/Reviews:
Adding a saxophone to the standard rock line-up of two guitars, drums and bass is of course nothing new. German legends of Panzerballett come to mind immediately and the comparison isn’t too far fetched if you listen to the opening triple of the singles ‘The Lizard’, ‘Catacaustic’ and ‘Blue Steel’. However, towards the end of ‘Blue Steel’, the five Aussies seem to free themselves of these all too obvious similarities and find more of a ‘voice’ that is entirely their own,  albeit almost entirely an instrumental one.

Christian Peters - vocals, guitars, keyboards
Thomas Vedder - drums & percussion
Hans Eiselt - bass & backing vocals

Description/Reviews:
End Of Forever opens up with ‘Second Birth.’ In some ways, it might be an extension from One With The Universe(?). This is a progressive power piece. The first five minutes takes off with a groove led by Hans Eiselt’s bass, accompanied with drummer Thomas Vedder, and Christian Peters tripping out the scene with analyzed synth and keys. It’s not until about midway through, when Mr. Peters plays and works in his signature guitar sound. ‘Second Birth’ is about as an addictive melodic groove anywhere on this album. I personally have a hard time getting enough of it …and this is how SBE open the gates of End Of Forever. ‘Massive Passive’ is a playful psych-prog beauty. It begins with an acoustic guitar, eventually moving into classic retro SBE style.

Tracklist
1) Friday At Last!
2) Sunset Sky
3) Bumerang

8) Moonphases

Line-up
Richard Hallebeek (Lalle Larsson) – Guitar
Lorenzo Feliciati (Naked Truth) – Bass
Niels Voskuil – Drums

Description/Reviews:
With this new trio, we hear mostly a compositional development in Hallebeek's already impressive and extensive oeuvre. The superb composed and constructed pieces flow very naturally and the fact that the trio recorded actually together in the studio, instead of separated at different locations, contributes to that, for sure. A more than worthy release that keeps on setting the bar high in progressive jazz music, in which technical skill and attractive composition are blending perfectly.
