Description/Reviews
Midas Fall focus on the more contemplative side of progressive rock, continuing where the Gathering and Anathema have gone recently, but veering off in their own direction. The key difference is singer Elizabeth Heaton, whose tender voice brings sensitivity to the music, often echoing the likes of Loreena McKennitt and Elizabeth Fraser.
As a result Midas Fall’s new album The Menagerie Inside bridges prog and dreampop in a way that hasn’t quite been done this way before. Arrangements are sprawling, often reminiscent of Isis, but that distinctly feminine side makes the music feel so much more welcoming and alluring. (Adrien Begrand at popmatters.com)

Description/Reviews
Mariusz Duda checked in with the following comment about “Love, Fear and the Time Machine": “On the new album I wanted to combine the 70s and the 80s. The 80s were a decade of musical growing up for me. We don't sound as retro and 70s as before, we moved forward, we sort of demolished the previous foundations and build new ones. Despite the huge dose of melancholy and nostalgia, there is a new space, the songs are arranged with more flow and at the same time they have never been so concise and to the point before. The lyrics on "Love, Fear and the Time Machine" talk about a transformation. About making an important, perhaps life changing, decision everyone has to make at some point in their lives. What happens to us when we have to make it? On the one hand we're excited by the change, we feel free, liberated, and on the other we fear the unknown, we are afraid of what might happen to us. We go back in time and we go forward in time in our heads. And all that happens when we have to decide something important. The first of the songs on the album is called 'Lost', the last one, 'Found'. If we sometimes get lost in life, it is to go through something and be found again on the other side, to be reborn as someone better and more valuable. I would like this album to be one of those that one day simply becomes your best friend.”

Description/Reviews
1. Under The Red Cloud
Far from the in-your-face opening of the previous album, the title track starts with a soft piano intro, interspersed with subtle guitar lines and building up without any haste. Yet by the time the vocals set in, much has already happened. The organic development continues, with Tomi´s voice at first taking a secondary role to the guitars before gradually assuming domination. The stellar keyboard/guitar solo confirms that Amorphis are again at the top of their game: while this first impression reminds me in many ways of the best stuff on Skyforger (my favorite Amorphis album so far), it is heavier and far more diversified.

Description/Reviews
The new album “Nothing But Hope” has interesting, unique and colorful nuance in each of its song. It has a comfortable sound between instrumental, rock, post-rock, alternative, experimental. Ibo says “We maintain the minimalism and dynamic of our musical nuance. It has more acoustic elements combined with an electric guitar harmonies, distortion, keyboard, as well as several other instruments.” These instruments sometimes get deeper as in the song “Nothing’s Ever Good Enough For You” and sometime they follow more energetic approach.
