Description/Reviews
Stylistically speaking, this record is a long progression from a foundation that is black metal; this album is barely black metal by definition. The guitar playing, the bass playing, and the drums are teeming with influences ranging from 70′s rock and country to modern post rock and a moderate amount of other US black metal. Even further removed from this album are other typical elements of your average metal album of today, such as barbarity, anger, or really any dark subject matter in general.

Description/Reviews
Musically, From Miracles to Ruined brings a mixture of many of Spasm's influences from groove rock and funk to progressive metal and even something heavier. Lyrically, From Miracles to Ruined is a cynical and sometimes tongue-in-cheek commentary on different facets of society.

Description/Reviews
'Circa' takes the most memorable elements of the debut record and expands upon them, honing the craft, and further distinguishing their sound. The sheer size of the band’s sound has increased immensely. Introspective pastoral moments of “Visionary Fantasy” are book-ended by sludge-trodden group passages and the shadows of Dark Americana in “Slow Sculpture”, which in turn are countered in “Possession” with highly imaginative Melvins-esque ensemble figures. Young’s blissful guitar phrases lend an almost vocal capacity to these songs as Ryan And Hoff offer a perfect vehicle for his exuberance.
This rapport only adds to the success in execution of what Sand created on their debut. While 'Circa' might not be a radical departure from 'Sky Bleached', the fostered intensity and the ease with which the three deliver the music surely comes across on this impressive second release.

Description/Reviews
Band steming from Serbia and comprised of very skilled musicians, AlogiA play a slightly prog-oriented power metal, bringing back to memory the best moments of Kiske-era Helloween with a dash of early Dream Theater or Crimson Glory. The band seems to have gained some fame in their own country, even topping the charts and performing sold out gigs in stadiums. The reason for this success lies probably in the delivery of catchy choruses in serbian, and a strong focus on the balkan Identity in their lyrics.
Regarding the music, we are in for some catchy tunes, where shy verses (like on "Galija") or more agressive (like on "Vreme je") turn to anthemic choruses with cheerful vocals. All along the record, we are exposed to galloping rhythms, hasty drumming, above-the-standard guitar playing, at times harpsichord-sounding keyboards when they are not filling out the space in an orchestral or enchanting way, and singalong-driven chorus. Some arabian-sounding violins in the first half of the album also add a traditional touch to the whole ("Callis ad Astra", "Galija", "Elegia Balcanica"). Altogether, all those elements interlock quite well, even if originality is not outstanding.
On a final note, this album can be recommended to anyone who is into the more melodic branch of power/prog metal. The use of local language is not so common in this category, and we can salutate the band for this courageous endeavour.(progarchives.com)
