Description/Reviews:
Blending rich musical textures with evocative and lyrical storytelling, The Ballad of General Jupiter is a collection of sonic tales — snapshots of imagination, emotion, and resilience. With echoes of Bowie, Pink Floyd, and early Genesis, Roolaart paints vivid musical portraits shaped by imagination, introspection, and social consciousness as he explores not only personal themes, but also broader reflections on a world grappling with chaos, greed, and injustice.
The opening track, Amsterdam, sets the tone with an intimate reflection on Roolaart’s 2020 return to his homeland in the Netherlands—an emotional homecoming shaped by both fulfillment and loss. Expanding beyond earthbound concerns, tracks like Rain and The Cry of Seven Doves explore more otherworldly themes, enriched by the saxophone and flute contributions of Amsterdam-based musician Wouter Schueler.

Description/Reviews:
Musically, 'Lighter Than Air' marks a clear step forward. Whereas the debut leaned heavily on the legacy of '70s progressive rock—with influences from legends like Genesis, Yes, and King Crimson—the follow-up has a more modern and contemporary sound, reminiscent of Marillion’s Clutching at Straws era. Still, the roots in prog tradition remain evident: epic compositions, adventurous rhythms, and virtuosic instrumental passages continue to define the band’s sound.
In addition to the familiar rock instrumentation, The One incorporates analogue synthesizers, lap steel guitar, double bass, and flute. These elements add depth and an unexpected richness to the music. With 'Lighter Than Air', The One presents itself as a mature band with a strong and distinctive identity.

Jozef Ragan - drums

Composed, produced & mixed: Alojz Hajovsky
Stem mastering: Michal Spitalsky

Description/Reviews:
In the case of the album anTristis, it is a multi-genre guitar album, which proves that diversely composed and arranged music does not know the limitations of genres and can sound attractive.
The entire album is specified by clear melodies, refined harmonies, alternating between rhythmic and irregular passages, changes in mood, instrumental maturity and innovative approaches.
3 songs on the album are heavier (the opening oriDjental, the following anTristis and the fourth haruWomatsu:Aki), they could be described as prog rock/metal, 2 songs are fusion jazz (haruWomatsu:Fuyu and wArpeggio). The album includes 1 dramatic symphony in unusual measures (cavalliInFuga), a dark prelude on classical guitar (forLeikur) or a song in the spirit of stage music with a Nordic mood (andStæður) or one song played entirely with tapping technique (equusQuagga), or one almost "pulpfictionish" (kotoMeetsPetra). 3 songs have an Asian ethno touch and diversify the modern sound of the album.

The Cosmic Factory are an eclectic rock band from Providence, Rhode Island. They pull from a very wide range of influences and blend it all together to create their brand of psychedelic rock and roll.
“Lab Grown” features the band's grooviest, heaviest and most psychedelic material yet, touching on everything from stoner metal to funk to electronica to lullabies. Among the new material is “On My Ohm”, the Cosmic Factory's most ambitious song yet, clocking in at just over 20 minutes.

Mixed by Forrester Savell

Description/Reviews:
Serving as the conceptual counterpart to 2016’s acclaimed Phenotype, Genotype is not a continuation but a rebirth. For nearly a decade, fans speculated about its existence, but what arrives now is not a relic of unfinished ideas - it’s something entirely new, written from scratch and self-produced. Genotype distils the essence of TEXTURES’ DNA into eight new songs, mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus). Lyrically, the album speaks to the unheard - introverts, outsiders, and those navigating internal worlds that often go unseen, standing as an ode to authenticity and resilience.
Featuring the singles Closer To The Unknown, At The Edge of Winter (featuring Charlotte Wessels) and Vanishing Twin, the record balances technical precision with powerful songwriting - the hallmarks that have made TEXTURES one of progressive metal’s most respected names over their 20+ year career.

Cepheidae Variable "Primordial Reverie"

9. Singularity (11:32)
Album Length: 58:53

Credits
Ryan Koepke: Guitar, bass, composition, mixing

Cole Millward: Mastering
Alex Eckman-Lawn: Album Artwork

Description/Reviews:
“Carving a Dragon” was the first track written for the album, and one of the most challenging. Inspired by Robin Hobb’s Assassin’s Quest, the song symbolizes pouring one’s soul into creation and marks the beginning of Koepke’s journey as a solo recording artist. With its energetic, uplifting fantasy feel, it stands in contrast to the moodier, sci-fi-themed tracks that follow.
The album itself is a genre-defying instrumental narrative, weaving through symphonic fantasy, sci-fi textures, and progressive complexity. Koepke describes the sound as “spacey, weird, melodic, melancholic, happy,” and cites influences ranging from Dream Theater and Haken to Wintersun and Caligula’s Horse. Divided into three distinct acts, "Primordial Reverie" challenges listeners to experience the full arc of its story, with recurring motifs and evolving themes that reward repeat listens.
