Description/Reviews
IN THE PRESENCE OF WOLVES further improves upon their addictive auditory blend with their upcoming EP, Of Two Minds, Stages 1-2: The Ape and The Cage, a conceptual offering all its own. The EP’s auditory assault reaches far beyond the confines of ITPOW’s experimental predecessors—plainly inspired by the piercing vocal attacks, tasteful theatricality and frantic musical kaleidoscopes pioneered by artists like Rush, Coheed and Cambria, Queen, The Mars Volta and Between The Buried And Me—leaving the listener with something overtly inspired yet fresh and uncharted.
...Of Two Minds, Stages 1-2: The Ape and The Cage stretches the musical confines of cognitive dissonance personified—chaotic, disturbed, enlightened and energized. Kicking off with a stripped-down, dramatic, retro-inspired introduction track, Of Two Minds… wastes no time soaring into an experimental rock adventure—shifting gracefully from dynamic, emotional passages to borderline aggressive turbulence.

The album can then be best described as atmospheric, ambient, prog-tinged rock, with only occasional moments of metal coming through. The music and style of composition is very similar to the quieter songs of his OSI project.

Description/Reviews
... this is definitely a much heavier, more guitar-driven album, and while there are moments where the keyboards stand out, such as on the chorus of “Flame of Knowledge”, it’s definitely the guitars that lead the way most of the time. While the power metal elements from their debut are fully intact and there’s certainly plenty of speedy sections throughout, this time around the band has gone for a much more progressive sound, in the vein of a band like Symphony X, especially with how some of the lead riffs and solos sound.

Replete with musical chops, impeccable ears, and amusing facial expressions, Electric Orange Peel is on a mission to show a new way to jam.

Description/Reviews
Euphoria Station was formed by vocalist/ lyricist Saskia Binder and guitarist/songwriter Hoyt Binder who share a passion for progressive music with commercial hooks. Saskia brings a powerhouse voice that recalls a time when radio was king while still sounding fresh. Hoyt equally brings a hard rock edge that nods to progressive guitar heroes of yesteryear while maintaining a modern feel.
Their debut album One Heart contains a sound written boldly around the voice of Saskia whose soaring melodies are at the center of each song. With a musical mix of everything under the sun from pop, rock, jazz and classical, Saskia's voice helps to ground the songs with lyrics about past experiences, the beauty and pain of love and an insatiable passion for life.
Whether you like catchy choruses or exciting instrumentals, One Heart will captivate you with heart, dreams and euphoria as you travel through passages, roads and stations.

"This is The Circle: the past that lives in the present and that reveales itself in the future». These few but important words of Dante Roberto try to introduce the listener in the music-travel of The Circle: an amazing instrumental concept-album about time, dedicated to the meeting of prog-rock and prog-metal.

The seven tracks of The Circle, opened by the grandeur of Dante Suite, feature a symphonic rock in ELP and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso vein, with neoclassical and prog-metal high-technically elements.

    Tomi Leppänen – drums
    Janne Westerlund – guitar, vocals

    Description/Reviews
Well there's certainly nothing predictable about Terminal, an interesting topsy-turvy, hotchpotch of an album that hints at Prog, Metal, Sludge Metal, Psychedelia, Post-Rock, Hard Rock, pretty much every guitar genre under the sun, without settling into a comfortable malaise at any particular one. It's unsurprisingly inconsistent but definitely brave and a welcome distraction from the one-dimensional monotony of a lot of artists.

    Description/Reviews
A creative and diverse Rock/Metal album, exploring vast melodic and rhythmic territories - from ABBA to Zappa, from King Crimson to King Diamond, between East and West and way beyond - in true progressive fashion. Like any reflection of the world we live in, it takes a wild ride over a wide emotional spectrum: sad, funny, perfectly sane, totally insane, very direct, quite obscure, and everything in between.

    Johan Hals Jørgensen - organ
       With
Ketil Vestrum Einarsen (Waserbergland, White Willow, Wobbler, Motorpsycho) - flute (2)

    Description/Reviews
The music is a mix of atmospheric electronic soundscapes and prog rock. The opening track Auditory Hallucinations throws the listener right in with over four minutes of electronic beeps and washes. ... There is a Magma like jazz swagger to Elusive The Wind Vane with its syncopated drums, swathes of Mellotron and Waserbergland's Ketil Vestrum Einarsen's flute fills. ... The best track is Polysomnographic, it gets everything right compared to opening track. The slow, atmospheric electric piano chords give way to full band, as Pixie Ninja subtly change the pace and the dynamics, leading to some lovely synth work. The longest track Personal Improvement Cult, is a multi-part work that has a terrific arrangement, making use of all sorts of instrumental colours and none of the sections outstay their welcome.
