With a name like that, you’d think Make Me A Donut (MMAD) were an American pop punk band from the 90s. Instead, this Swiss outfit comes from the family of bands who see Meshuggah as their leaders.
Having been around since 2010, Bright Side is the band’s second full length album; the first with new vocalist, Valentin Miéville. Although it could just be the overproduction of this record, there is a lack of rawness in his voice compared to that of his predecessor, Isäie Massy. The production also makes the overall sound a bit too clean, or at least as clean as djent laden deathcore can get.
