Now all the news are published at a new non-public blog. Here I will only publish the news concerning new albums that are sent to me by musicians, labels or PR agencies (if they fit the theme of the blog) and update previously published posts.
In order to get access to the new blog, you have to subscribe and pay the sum of your choice.
There are following choices:
1. Full time access - $5 or more per month. You will have full 24/7 access to the blog, and will be able to receive updates via email or Facebook.
2. Weekly access - $3 or more per month. You will be given full access to the blog for one day per week. You may choose this day or change it. No updates via email or Facebook.
3. Monthly access - $1 or more per month. You will be given full access to the blog for one day per month. You may choose this day or change it. No updates via email or Facebook.
4. Email or Facebook subscription for updates only - $3 or more per month. You won't have any access to the new blog, and will only be able to receive updates via mentioned channels.
Payment methods:
1. PayPal (use mogilevs19@gmail.com as recipient)
2. https://www.patreon.com/newprogreleases Press 'become a patron'. Then you register and are directed to the page 'Complete your monthly payment to newprogreleases'. There you enter the sum (by default it's $5) and choose how to pay - with card or paypal. Sales tax of your country will be added to the sum. You will be charged automatically each next month until you cancel or decline the payment.
3. Payoneer (use mogilevs19@gmail.com as recipient)
Preferred is PayPal.
At Patreon the total sum you pay may be bigger because sales taxes of your country are added automatically.
But at Patreon you can pay with debit or credit cards.
If you want to use any other kind of payment method (P2P card to card transfer, cryptocurrencies etc.), please send me an email with the suggestion.
After you make a payment, please send me an email, writing what category you have paid for, how many periods (if anyone wants to pay for several periods), whether you want to join Facebook group, what email I should send an invite to. If you choose weekly or monthly access, you can write on what day you want the access.
You should accept the invite in order to get access to the blog.
In order to have access to a non public blog, you have to have a gmail account. If you don't have one, you will be suggested to create it after accepting the invite. If you have problems creating an account, I can help or create it for you.
Thank you!
I appreciate your blog and a I understand the work you put in but … cmon! Are you aware that you want to charge as much per month as streaming services like Apple TV+, HBO and such? And do you really think you provide content that can compare to theirs?
ReplyDeleteDear friend, I think it is basically economic rules.Having millions of subsciribers and a ton of people working for an organization allows you to reduce prices compared to a handful fans and a single creatorThis could be different if Prog Rock fans were 1 billion and not a small community.A subjective opinion of course.
DeleteI am not surprised. A really one person and such a contribution to the blog is something really big.
DeleteI agree that not billions of masses as in other music, film and television streaming platforms.
The small community is only fans of progressive rock and they buy CDs, digital versions and are interested in new products that are worth knowing and getting. He also used the blog for a long time to check news, music curiosities and information about the release, as well as the head of the site did that with the yearly etc. The second Prog Archives was with music updates. Thank you for this page and the opportunity to use it for interesting information, and I will certainly also use the page to continue. Thank you.
I agree that Apple and Amazon subscriptions are now cheap. But once there was no access, and Deezer, Tidal was charging more money even as he had loads of users. Spotify the most, but I do not know why even the HiFI (HD) option is not available.
DeleteWhere they have a choice and competition, they must reduce the prices because something else was created, cheaper and similar, and everyone will judge whether it is better or worse.
It's a lot of work with a blog and it's more that someone is involved and has these hobbies, spend time updating and trying. Anyway, I wish that everything was successful and the website existed.
The previous speaker, I also agree, everything is a matter of price, everyone uses something else, not one person from several subscribers, which also costs money. It is for everyone who needs and is interested in what more.
I'm sorry for the late reply. In the poll about subscription I suggested several prices and $5 is an average of what my visitors agreed to pay. If the results of the poll indicated a lower price, I would either set lower or decided against the idea and eventually quit this blog. For those who can't or don't want to spend $5, I suggested lower levels of contribution. For 9 years my dayjob allowed me to run this blog without trying to make any money from it. Now, due to the war in my country, I can't afford spending so much time on the blog without at least some compensation.

Hi Oleg. I'm fro Poland. When i want to pay i see I have 5 PLN to pay. It's about 1$
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeletePaypal or patreon? If patreon, then as I remember, there is a field to the right where you can change currency. Or simply calculate the necessary sum and pay in zloty.
there is nothing :(
DeleteAt https://www.patreon.com/newprogreleases you click 'become a patron'. Then you are at the page 'Complete your monthly payment to newprogreleases'. At that page at the right there is 'SUMMARY' and two lines below it 'Currency' and under it 'Change'. Here is a screen shot https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZIEo7P9QGvURCIIOnwMYA-3gYCoSeFdiDOmn9-w8Legrprz5yeepffsYBnBOKzQrJCWEP99FmJpaHdtrLXPZ589i-KMDXgr2FXdF3zpeK_98B6jjUXuuSYnIV_KQl42j2u_cwTvINBxLFtAVpeiu4ei8eWdYi_t-RvHn4H366kE2nm5lHDSJO6Auj/s1920/patreon.jpg
ReplyDeleteWhy am I no longer able to see releases by date as in 2021??
ReplyDelete2022...is all mixed up ...
2022 page is disabled, but you are still able to see 2022 posts (made before May 1) either in Release Schedule (gadgets bar to the right) or by selecting '2022' among tags/labels (gadgets bar to the right). 2022 page and all the new updates are available to only subscribers.
DeleteSo, on the subscription page, I have to put $5.00 in the case of 'chosse what you pay"" to have unlimited access and see as before ''prog releases'' by release date?
DeleteBasically yes. You either transfer via paypal or pay at Patreon and get access to the new blog with new content. On that blog such page is available, there are daily email notifications and Facebook group with notifications (if you want)
DeletePayer alors que vous ne mettez pas mes albums que je vous envoie ? vous pouvez courir !
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but I don't usually promise I would post information about any album sent to me. I might never received your email or decided it didn't fit the theme of this blog or I might have asked you for additional details and received no answer from you. Unless you give me the exact details, I don't know what was the situation. If you want this case sorted, please email me.

Faux !! vous ne m'avez jamais répondu !!
DeleteIt's possible. But as I wrote above without the details I don't even know if I received an email from you
DeleteOK je suis stupid et je ne sais pas envoyer de mail, merci, au revoir, un artiste déçu
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with "Anonymous"! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHello: I have a question, by subscribing do I have access to more information about releases than a person who is not subscribed or what is the benefit in the end?
ReplyDeleteHello. Yes. As you can see, this blog is almost not updated since May. By subscribing you will receive access to a new non public blog where all the new information is published (about 70-100 albums a month).
