Replete with musical chops, impeccable ears, and amusing facial expressions, Electric Orange Peel is on a mission to show a new way to jam.

Description/Reviews
Euphoria Station was formed by vocalist/ lyricist Saskia Binder and guitarist/songwriter Hoyt Binder who share a passion for progressive music with commercial hooks. Saskia brings a powerhouse voice that recalls a time when radio was king while still sounding fresh. Hoyt equally brings a hard rock edge that nods to progressive guitar heroes of yesteryear while maintaining a modern feel.
Their debut album One Heart contains a sound written boldly around the voice of Saskia whose soaring melodies are at the center of each song. With a musical mix of everything under the sun from pop, rock, jazz and classical, Saskia's voice helps to ground the songs with lyrics about past experiences, the beauty and pain of love and an insatiable passion for life.
Whether you like catchy choruses or exciting instrumentals, One Heart will captivate you with heart, dreams and euphoria as you travel through passages, roads and stations.

Description/Reviews
"This is The Circle: the past that lives in the present and that reveales itself in the future». These few but important words of Dante Roberto try to introduce the listener in the music-travel of The Circle: an amazing instrumental concept-album about time, dedicated to the meeting of prog-rock and prog-metal.

The seven tracks of The Circle, opened by the grandeur of Dante Suite, feature a symphonic rock in ELP and Banco del Mutuo Soccorso vein, with neoclassical and prog-metal high-technically elements.

Description/Reviews
Well there's certainly nothing predictable about Terminal, an interesting topsy-turvy, hotchpotch of an album that hints at Prog, Metal, Sludge Metal, Psychedelia, Post-Rock, Hard Rock, pretty much every guitar genre under the sun, without settling into a comfortable malaise at any particular one. It's unsurprisingly inconsistent but definitely brave and a welcome distraction from the one-dimensional monotony of a lot of artists.

A creative and diverse Rock/Metal album, exploring vast melodic and rhythmic territories - from ABBA to Zappa, from King Crimson to King Diamond, between East and West and way beyond - in true progressive fashion. Like any reflection of the world we live in, it takes a wild ride over a wide emotional spectrum: sad, funny, perfectly sane, totally insane, very direct, quite obscure, and everything in between.

Johan Hals Jørgensen - organ
   With
Ketil Vestrum Einarsen (Waserbergland, White Willow, Wobbler, Motorpsycho) - flute (2)

Description/Reviews
The music is a mix of atmospheric electronic soundscapes and prog rock. The opening track Auditory Hallucinations throws the listener right in with over four minutes of electronic beeps and washes. ... There is a Magma like jazz swagger to Elusive The Wind Vane with its syncopated drums, swathes of Mellotron and Waserbergland's Ketil Vestrum Einarsen's flute fills. ... The best track is Polysomnographic, it gets everything right compared to opening track. The slow, atmospheric electric piano chords give way to full band, as Pixie Ninja subtly change the pace and the dynamics, leading to some lovely synth work. The longest track Personal Improvement Cult, is a multi-part work that has a terrific arrangement, making use of all sorts of instrumental colours and none of the sections outstay their welcome.

Description/Reviews
Bleeding into soft focus by way of a bed of Carpenter-esque synths and the soothing opening words of the album’s first narrator Leah Senior ..., the album’s first chapter, ‘Altered Beast 1-4’ aims straight up the jugular. A progged-out tetralogy conjuring the hectic hardcore thrust of last year’s Nonagon Infinity, it sees harmonica, synth, mellotron and a slew of shapeshifting rhythmic patterns congeal in a swirl that stems as much from the more cosmically inclined highpoints of Hawkwind and Amon Düül II as it does, say, Yes and Rush at their most insistent.

Description/Reviews
The beautiful soundscapes created by the double guitars, the keys and the discreet touches by the flute in the opening Nautilus Part 1 bring to mind the psychedelic prog of our beloved Swedes Agusa, while the slightly less impressive Part 2 continues in almost the same pattern with its most dynamic finale. Those who expect the rest of the album to follow the same paths are completely misguided. The eastern ethnic elements in the excellent Chafa Azeno and Marracech add an oriental spirit to the album.

Description/Reviews
The album’s tracks recall Rush or a sillier Fugazi (the first “That’s the Way You Do It”) one moment, and Willie Nelson or a wonderfully befuddled George Jones (the second “That’s the Way You Do It”) the next. Some tracks come out screaming in full Fred Frith-style madness (“Express Delight”), while some coo and groove their beautiful bassy, brassy way into your ear with the playfulness of Frank Zappa or Steely Dan (“Bo-Leg-Ba”).

Ephemeral Sun "Lord Of Hounds"

Country: USA
Genre(s): Instrumental Progressive Rock / Metal
Format: CD, digital
Release date: June 16, 2017
Tracklist
  1. Discordance
  2. Kill Shelter
  3. What We Should Have Said
  4. Lord Of Hounds
  5. Stay Down
Line-up
John Battema – keyboards
Charles Gore – bass
Tim Miller – drums
Brian O’Neill – guitars

Description/Reviews
Musically, the past remains present: complex, atmospheric and symphonic textures across the board. As with Harvest Aorta the primary ingredient is rock, blended into metal, jazz, ambient, electronica, and more with reckless abandon. More than a decade on, a shared language has emerged within the band that infuses the songs with a distinct signature. But the glasses are of a slightly darker tint this time around: more moments are laced with overdrive and crunch. Anxiety and melancholy runs throughout. A few hardcore fans might even pick up a hint of Broken Door's slightly gothic attitude. Your lover has rediscovered heavy black eyeliner, and dusted off the old Cure vinyl for one more trip down memory lane.

Nicola D'Amico - Drums
Mattia Scomparin - Keyboards
Luca Volonnino - Guitar
   With
Giulio Dalla Mora - Tenor Sax (3, 4)
Mauro Spinazzè - Violin (6)

Description/Reviews
"Illusions" is a return that proves the maturity test for the young band of Treviso: a concept in six long acts, intended and conceived on totally instrumental paths, rich of neo-prog atmospheres, close to Kscope area. Great pathos in prog-psychedelic colors, imaginative modern-prog witjh space-fusion reverberations: introduced by the sweet, introspective lightness of "Nei Colori  del Silenzio" between keyboards and small guitar arpeggios, they take on progressions of particular intensity with "Coscienza Sopita", "Impasse" (rhythmic and dreamy at the same time), " Apofis ", "Due Io". A special mention deserves the eleven minutes of "Apofis" from the arremal attack, full of variations, from the jazz mood of the sax of Giulio Dalla Mora to the intimistic piano suspension. Everything gets tired with the concise melody of "Tornerò", exalted by the violin of the guest Mauro Spinazzè. "Illusions" particularly reveals a convincing interplay, the empathy between Nicola D'Amico's technical and compelling drumming, Edoardo Ceron's bass textures, the never-overstanding colors and depth of Mattia Scomparin's keyboards and the imaginative guitar work by Luca Volonnino, always outlined in past and modern times. Precious interplay that becomes lyrical and visionary expression.
