On this second part, the moods are darker and the sounds more electronic – veering into synth-rock and even ambient. Still, there is an overarching progressive structure to the music, complete with Yobrepus' bent for catchy alt-rock riffs and melancholy ballads.

Description/Reviews:
"Faustus the Musical" is a metal opera based on the epic 16th century saga “Doctor Faustus” by Christopher Marlowe. Engaging compositions and a strong vocal delivery by the cast sends the listener on an exciting journey. From the symphonic to the brutal, the entirety of the album is impeccably mixed and mastered by the renowned Joost van den Broek.
Their sound could be easily described as engaging, unique, melodic, cinematic and strong at the same time. Je Schneider is the mastermind of this project but the line up is complete with musicians like Eric Gilette, Daniel de Jöngh, Diane Lee to name a few.
Since the beginning of their career / their first album the sound of the band has been developed a lot, it’s more mature now with much more emphasis on a more cohesive and better sound than the previous one. The sound of the band is influenced by bands like Textures, Persefone, Ayreon, Avantasia.

Description/Reviews:
Featuring elements of progressive/power metal with symphonic / industrial undertones and a hint of Celtic influence, "The Crucible" delivers four epic tracks, each over 8 minutes long. The music has been meticulously planned to complement the lyrics and story resulting in an amazing sonic experience.
Described as "Armageddon Metal," the sound of Harpazo is both powerful and symphonic, with industrial nuances adding depth to the compositions. Drawing inspiration from classic progressive metal rock operas of the 90s and 2000s, "The Crucible" offers a modernized take on the genre.

Cover illustrations by Ted Parsons and sleeve design by Aktuba Ink.

Description/Reviews:
Through the two albums, listeners are presented with fragments of personal stories, in no apparent order, each offering distinct perspectives on the revolutionary events. In this first part, a group of rebels prepare for violence while the rich and powerful get ready to up-load their consciousness to the cloud. Later, murderous AI drones roam the streets and a high ranking official gets tried for a genocide. And still someone finds room to sing a song about love?
While the moods are less melancholy than they were on Mycelium Days, the stylistic range is still as wide as ever. Genre-wise the albums traverse everything from aggressive alt-rock, to wistful folk, 60s-inspired prog and dark, 90s-tinged electronica.

Description/Reviews:
The EPQV series feature a capricious, free mixture of musical styles, genres, production values and aesthetics, which serve as narrative devices to highlight moments, characters & emotions across this highly unconventional sonic expedition.
Act 1 - "The Nest" introduces Teezûck, the strange son of a bird and a fish who lives depressed in the dark depths of the sea. One magical night he receives a stellar gift: an oneiric vision, a call to face his inner fears and seek his true destiny. Themes such as overprotection, toxic victimhood, altered states, maturity and the flow between divinity & delusion are explored within this eclectic, fantasy-fueled extravaganza.
For fans of Danny Elfman, Devin Townsend, Frank Zappa & Devil Doll
An artistic syncretism based on Christian & Buddhist texts through a Jungian approach of multicultural interweaving.

Description/Reviews:
So, is this “prog opera” any good? The answer is yes. Though this reviewer questions the necessity to make this one giant composition given how little the lyrical themes seem to connect to one another, the quality of the music is top notch. Whether it be the busy and propulsive “Truth to Power (Only Truth Can Change the World),” the sublime “Mother Earth (Is Calling You),” or the playful baroque meets Celtic stylings of “Pizzacotto,” Steinhardt and co. give it their all. His husky vocals and graceful violin playing take central stage throughout the record, but Steinhardt doesn’t hog the mic (so to speak). In a similar fashion, the special guest musicians ... don’t try to take over, instead serving the needs of the compositions they perform on.

Description/Reviews:
The word cantata by definition is "a vocal composition with an instrumental accompaniment, often involving a choir." Livgren's cantata, decades in the making, is a vocally and symphonically driven tour de force inspired by the Bible's Book of John (11: 1-45). Make no mistake, this isn't classic or progressive rock. Rather, Lazarus is a sweeping majestic orchestral masterpiece that highlights the most beautiful music instrument ever created, the human voice.

Description/Reviews:
Album 3 is the first half of a Rock Opera adaptation of the 1910 book by Harold Bell Wright called The Uncrowned King. This story is an allegory in the style of The Pilgrim's Progress but with a story arch of Twain's Prince and the Pauper meets Dicken's Christmas Carol. A pilgrim on a search for Truth arrives at the Temple of Truth with questions about the journey. In answer, the Keeper of the Temple retires him to The Quiet Room, overlooking The Beautiful Sea, where he is visited by the The Four Voices of Life. Each Voice tells him a piece of a story entitled "The Uncrowned King", to give answer to his questions. Broken into two releases, the story is an allegory on the nature of truth. It is a statement that real truth cannot be derived solely by the senses, but it is more transcendent and one must be courageous in its pursuit and consequence.

Description/Reviews:
... a project from Turin started in 2016 with the aim of composing a sci-fi rock opera blending progressive rock and metal... On the whole, this is a good album with an interesting concept, nice melodies, a good interaction between theatrical male and female vocals and some beautiful instrumental passages.
