Bernt Sørensen - Guitars
Anders Kobro - Drums
   With
Kåre Sletteberg - Lead Guitar (2), Acoustic Guitar

Description/Reviews
Continuing to refine and perfect their sound while ever expanding it in new directions, “Cease the Day” is a powerful and kaleidoscopic effort. A thunderous undercurrent of melodic riffing drives these songs forward, elements of doom, death, and progressive metal all coming together to form a cohesive whole.

Chilling ambience, psychedelia, avant-garde, and deep soaring vocals ebb and flow to craft a unique sound that truly must be heard to be believed, all before crushing the listener with the band’s most extreme moments since their debut “Heart of the Ages”.

Genre(s)Progressive Rock
Label: InsideOut
Format: CD, digital, vinyl
Release date: November 16, 2018
Tracklist:
  1. Proxy

  3. A Case of Misplaced Optimism
  4. The Adulthood Lie
  5. Supper’s Off
  6. Excerpt From “Exo-Oceans” (bonus track)
Line-up
Andy Tillison (Parallel or 90 Degrees) – Vocals, Keyboards
Jonas Reingold (The Flower Kings, Karmakanic) – Bass Guitar

Luke Machin (Maschine, Francis Dunnery Band) – Guitar
Steve Roberts (Magenta, Godsticks) – Drums
   With
Göran Edman (Karmakanic, Malmsteen) - Vocals

Description/Reviews
‘Proxy’ is a riot of juxtaposing styles, presented in a really direct manner and despite being firmly rooted in the stylistic traits of the Progressive Rock Genre takes some unexpected turnoffs and a major swerve. The albums kicks off with a trademark Tangent prog fantasia based around growling Hammonds, shrieking Synths, whirling guitars and sharp percussive bass - influences of ELP, Egg, Hatfield & the North, Caravan and Camel proudly worn on their sleeves. This 16-minute title track eventually becomes a protest song about the continuing wars that share their name with the song.
But this album features no overall concept. The second track is a sun-drenched Mediterranean fusion instrumental, more Chick Corea than Che Guevara. And the third track is referred to by the band as an attempt to find the missing link between Porcupine Tree and Jamiroquai. By the time we reach the centrepiece epic track ‘The Adulthood Lie’, the rulebook has been left behind and the band are trying to fix the car with whatever is at hand.

Description/Reviews
The album is lyrically inspired by recent and current events in the world. The music features strong and catchy melodies and riffs, dynamic beats and is delivered with a Classic Rock sound. The music ranges from Rock, Prog and heavier riffs to more acoustic atmospheres, so the new album has a diverse and intense sound. Virtuosic guitar and drum work, groovy and strong bass lines and
deeply emotional and melodic vocals are the tools to build the scenic music, where the atmosphere varies from melancholic to hard-hitting.
Haydenspark combines the sound of the earlier albums with a new and exiting, more guitar-driven direction.

Scott Lockhart - Drums
Dale Gorham - Bass
   With
Olly Steele (10)

Description/Reviews
Staying true to the path laid out with 2015’s Odyssey: Destroyer Of Worlds, Odyssey: The Founder Of Dreams maintains thematic ties with its predecessor, charging once more into the battlefield of “science vs. faith”. These themes provide the origins of the band’s name, and the content of the hugely popular science-fiction drama  ‘LOST’, from which vocalist & lyricist Ashe O'Hara (ex-TesseracT) has drawn a wealth of inspiration.
The prominent veins feeding life to Voices From The Fuselage’s latest offering are loss, grief and the inward questioning of how to deal with these experiences. With Odyssey: The Founder Of Dreams, the band channel their talents to provide a sense of gravity and power to a melting pot of hard-to-swallow emotional experiences.

Description/Reviews
Not for a moment does this sound like "indian” classical music, but there is most definitely something in the way that these ten tracks are composed that has created music which sounds fresh and original and exciting.
Musically this sits somewhere between the realms of heavy progressive rock and lighter progressive metal. The guitar (split 50/50 between acoustic and electric) is far more prominent than the keyboards.

Description/Reviews
Black metal. Progressive rock. And everything inbetween. The debut (and sole?) album of
Italian / Norwegian trio ORGAN: is just that – a cornucopia of sounds derived from and inspired by an incredible wealth of sources. Impossible to narrow down to a specific genre, «Everything is pared down. Minimal Expectations» finds itself sitting comfortably outside practical convention. It is simply music - sometimes abrasive, often beautiful - yet always fascinating and inspired. ORGAN: unite the past, present and future, as childhood memories blend with road-weary contemplation and universal wonder.

Description/Reviews
The album contains 3 atmospheric long tracks moving into a warm hypnotic post-rock sound, very fresh and catchy! It starts with “Waves” (10:33) with a dream peaceful scenery under a strong poppy balladesque environment, a steady powerful rhythm section that increases or decreases the intensity at times while the song obtains a wild mellow hard-rocking style towards its end.

Description/Reviews
The sixth official work of Twenty Four Hours is a double album intentionally inspired in the form and substance by the four most important white albums in the history of rock music.
  • Closer by Joy Division
  • The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis
  • The Beatles (White Album)
  • The Wall by Pink Floyd
Unlike the much appreciated previous Left-To-Live, it is not a concept album, but a collection of songs that embraces many stages of the band’s creative life, including ambient veins (Intertwined), progressive with a long suite inspired by Supper’s Ready of Genesis (Supper’s Rotten) where profound mutation of values is exasperated, compared to those of the past, rock (The Tale Of The Holy Frog) and punk ones (77). In this last song that opens the album you meet aggressive punk atmospheres with echoes of King Crimson, and a spectacular final battle without exclusion of shots between the Hammond organ and Hendrixian guitar.

Meticulously crafted, with an increased use of electronics and low bass frequencies, “False Memory Archive” is both darker and groovier that its predecessor, whilst still maintaining that familiar Oak sound, which is neither wholly progressive pop, nor progressive rock, but a happy amalgam of both.
