Description/Reviews: 

...the lead vocals sound powerful and dramatic, slightly abrasive but with a strong sense of melody. The music itself, in fact, is awash with powerful melodies and impressive guitar harmonies. The bridge mid-way through the catchy ‘The Devil’s Dolls’ is a great example of how intense the guitars can get. Opening track ‘Whispers From The Wicked’ possesses a darkly epic feel that vaguely reminds me of Evergrey. The title-track contains melodies that hint at the band’s national heritage. On the other hand ‘The Rebirth’ reminded me of Judas Priest’s ‘Beyond The Realms of Death’. Admittedly all these references belittle the songs because in truth there’s more to them than that.

Personally I can't think of a better album to do this with as Elusive Reflections is exactly what you would want from a band such as Persona, it blends chunky progressive metal with synth driven symphonics and Middle Eastern/North African influences so if you think Orphaned Land meets Within Temptation you'd be on the right track. As the album starts off we get the Arabic touches from the off on Somebody Else which moves into the excellent Blinded which sounds very like Ms Den Adel and co all blastbeat drums, heavy riffs and flowing synths underpinning everything. This track shows off founder member and lead guitarist Melik Melek Khelifa's slick lead playing, which is one of the album's strongest points, the solos are used sparingly adding some melodic flourishes to the songs.

In fact, Lost Insen presents a Modern progressive Metal richly melodic and this is what you'll notice with the first song "The Greedy Idiot". An alternation between heavy riffs and a super melodic choruses that stick in mind after a few listens.
