Description/Reviews:
As is likely evident by now, Holopainen’s achievement lies in mining the strengths of each singer even while working within the context of these original songs. It’s Holopainen’s own material, yes, but it also delivers a kind of “greatest hits” vibe in terms of the sonic signature of its star vocalists.

Richard Andreas Salvesen - drum kit and norwegian rope drums
Tobias Øymo Solbakk - drum kit and percussion
Håkon Sakseide - bass guitar
Birk Gjermundbo - Hammond, pump organ and electronics
Live-Andrea Gjessen Rasch - lead vocals
Klara Høeg - vocals
Sigrid Rekve - vocals

Description/Reviews:
Marekvist identify themselves as experimental folk music, but I'd dare to say that what these Norwegians play falls into much-much broader categories. Discarding all understatements, Solrenning is Scandinavian prog rock music (a term already much akin to RPI), in concentrated form. Apart from the really strong folk roots that many Scandinavian bands share (Ritual, Kerrs Pink, the mighty Änglagård etc.) their music also pays homage to the 70s Scandinavian bands. Fans of Trettioariga Kriget, Atlas, and Wigwam would enjoy the confident, vintage-sounding riffs, with some great grooves.

Ivor Holloway - clarinet (3), saxophones (7)
Josh Packard - cello (4)
Myles Boisen - pedal steel (5)

Description/Reviews:
Jack O’ The Clock’s Leaving California is a highly-detailed musical adventure that reveals new layers with repeated listens, from the opening strums of “Jubilation,” which introduces the record with whimsical folksy fanfare, to the angular harmonized violin lead on the closing track, “Narrow Gate.” Throughout, the songs of bandleader Damon Waitkus recall artists such as David Sylvian, Fairport Convention, and Elliott Smith, while creative musical arrangements showcase the band’s high-level compositional and instrumental chops. Upon first listen, Leaving California offers plenty of hooks, but this is music that truly reveals its depth upon the scrutiny of repeated spins.

Description/Reviews:
One To Zero is lush and airy at the same time. It is intellectual, yet entertaining. The riffs, the solos, the interplay, und last but not least the lyrical depth, are all the complex culmination of a mere idea that was unfolded and magnified into epic proportions. One to Zero fits well into these times, in which tech billionaires name their child X AE A-XII, or the often dystopian 'Black Mirror' is a mainstream hit series. That is only logical, given the actual reality that that we all live in. One To Zero was conceived in the Farm Studios in Freising/Bavaria und the careful supervision and production of Kalle Wallner and Yogi Lang, who also mixed the album.

Description/Reviews:
In defining their musical style, I would single out Alterbridge as the band closest to Molybaron. The style of both bands presents difficulty in identifying their primary genre. They are both largely categorised as prog metal. MOLYBARON are also often referred to as groove metal or atmospheric metal. ... Central to both bands is their melody, their guitar style and complex guitar arrangements.

6. Ghost of Guilt (8:35)

Line-up
Armando Bablanian - Guitars
Liam Horrigan - Bass
Michel Karakach - Drums
   With
Adel Saflou - Vocals

Description/Reviews:
Derev seeks to combine western progressive rock with the Arabic and Armenian heritage of its two founder members (mixing worldwide ingredients with local recipes)... This debut (mini) album is short, but with a rich variety. It showcases a talented group of musicians who are still exploring a range of linked, but different, sound palettes. I think they could well be onto something, if they can focus their compositions and style with some stronger hooks. Leap Of Faith is a strong opening statement and is a recommended listen for those musical culinary types, who enjoy songs that mix and blend influences from different cultures.

Description/Reviews:
Album 3 is the first half of a Rock Opera adaptation of the 1910 book by Harold Bell Wright called The Uncrowned King. This story is an allegory in the style of The Pilgrim's Progress but with a story arch of Twain's Prince and the Pauper meets Dicken's Christmas Carol. A pilgrim on a search for Truth arrives at the Temple of Truth with questions about the journey. In answer, the Keeper of the Temple retires him to The Quiet Room, overlooking The Beautiful Sea, where he is visited by the The Four Voices of Life. Each Voice tells him a piece of a story entitled "The Uncrowned King", to give answer to his questions. Broken into two releases, the story is an allegory on the nature of truth. It is a statement that real truth cannot be derived solely by the senses, but it is more transcendent and one must be courageous in its pursuit and consequence.

Description/Reviews:
they released this instrumental debut album immersed in the soundscapes of post-rock and post-metal. And sometimes they burst beyond the boundaries of the genre with their heavy guitars, bass licks, dynamic drumming - creating an ambience of emotion, mournfulness and longing. Just the title of the album is enough to get your imagination running. And the melodic, riff-based music it carries lives up to the title´s promise.

Description/Reviews:
Four piece post-rock band from Kassel, Germany Rædsel release Menetekel which is not a conventional post-rock album. Menetekel sheds light on the compatibility of complex and putatively simple music. The music combines complex elements of progressive rock/progressive metal and accessibility and catchiness of modern rock songs concerning the instrumental approach and the song structures.

Stove Top is uncategorizable in the best sense of the word, patching together elements of punk, free jazz, new music, no wave, doom metal, dub, avant-funk, and various subsectors of the experimental in such freewheeling and raucous fashion that the very idea of divvying them up into disparate inspirations seems laughable.

Boasting ten new songs which encompassing nearly fifty-five minutes of material, Mountain Fever push the balance between pioneering experimentalism to our own take on modern pop culture and its manifestation in the Middle East. Revealing an album composed of African and Balkan brass sections, Arabic violins, extended vocal techniques, and several special guest appearances, watch out for radio friendly hooks that emerge out of heavy riffs and polychromatic arrangements.
