'Seas of Change' consists of only one forty two minute track which incorporates many changes of tempo, mood and style and the band thinks it also represents a kind of hybrid of the older, earlier 'traditional' Galahad sound mixed with the more modern heavier, 'techno' orientated sound of the last few albums.

    Description/Reviews
Blå Lotus is a progressive rock trio from Sweden who's motto is, “No six-strings allowed.” Formed during the fall of 2016, Blå Lotus was basically three guys with a vision of making heavy prog rock without the aid of a guitar. Heavily influenced by old school progressive acts of yore, they immediately set out to create a fulfilling soundscape equipped with just bass, drums and Hammond organ and a vast array of lengthy jam-based compositions interspersed with heavy stoner-like riffs.

    Andy Hibberd - Bass guitar
    Martin Law - Drums, percussion
       With
    Iain Roddick - Saxophone

    Description/Reviews
'Exit To The Death Lane' opens proceedings with a flurry of neo-psych guitars and crashing drums, all coming together to form that mythical 'wall of sound'. Muted vocal choruses and some superlative guitar work break through this wall and the whole feel changes into something...well...just incredibly psychedelic. It channels the 'Happenings' era Floyd and the spacey hustle of Hawkwind and yet remains firmly Psychic Lemon. 'Hey Droog!' is a monster - huge riffs and more muted vocals that sound almost choral herald moments of sheer psych heaven...it is driven forward by pummelling drums (I swear Martin has 3 arms!) and throbbing basslines. It is heavy and yet remarkably fluid...an absolute masterclass.

Bartek Dobry - Guitars, Vocals, Synthesizers
    Grzegorz Pawlowski - Bass
    Robert Kulakowski - Drums

    Description/Reviews
On III, Weedpecker’s third full-length, the first notes of the album already evoke a blissful and airy atmosphere, waves of guitar rolling over the listener until a deep bass, drums and mellotron set the tone for the trip to come. The atmosphere the band creates is offset by an interplay of heavy riffing, etherial vocals and progressive structures; like labelmates Elder, the band are fond of long, unpredictable songs with an increasingly progressive slant.

Further sidestepping entrapments of the stoner rock genre, III sees the band experimenting with light, colorful jams that remind the listener of Tame Impala or Morgan Delt. Moving seamlessly between styles and moods organically, it’s easy to get lost, only to find yourself emerged in a different world entirely.

    Description/Reviews
The spontaneity and freshness of this sizzling, high-altitude set reflects the equally unpretentious manner in which the session itself came together. Tackling some decidedly hip musical sketches of  Dominique Vantomme, the band is given full artistic liberty – and with all participants in top form, the resulting music weaves and winds its way across paths previously untrodden ... in stunning fashion, and with sure footing! In the truest MoonJune tradition, "Vegir" thumbs its nose at convention and showcases these seasoned veteran musicians at the top of their game: with the skill set, bravery and chutzpah to follow their instincts and, in the process, allow the music to seek out and ultimately capture its own form. It slinks; it growls; it stalks; it devours! It grooves; it stutters; it holds you in suspense, then explodes! (... think 'juggling chainsaws' in the sonic realm.

Chris DeChiara - Bells and Chimes (9, 10)

    Description/Reviews
If the band’s name doesn’t give it away, Master Sword are a Legend of Zelda-themed act. While they are firmly rooted in traditional heavy metal and progressive rock/metal, the Zelda influences are equally worn on their sleeves through both the lyrical content and the melodies in each track.

    Description/Reviews
A progressive "manic/depressive" rock album spanning the hellish dark to the pinnacle of light. Very much in the progressive vein of Eyestrings, Parmenter's 59-minute "One of a Different Color" is his first LP since "Sad Men" (2009).
