Description/Reviews
Based on their fundamental "Space Ritual-era-Hawkwind" template, Yuri Gagarin stay firm on their path while getting more versatile in the ideas, more evocative in their soundscapes and, most importantly, richer in their melodic approach; unlike many of their contemporaries, Yuri Gagarin, except for their ambient mastery, rely on their innate sense for melody and, almost cinematic, approach to drama. On "The Outskirts Of Reality" Yuri Gagarin present five new songs! Maybe with no lyrics, but still, these are songs, with the entire human feelings' part lying in the details; as if stuck in a never-ending spacetime continuum loop, trying to fabricate small changes each time, looking for a hole leading to eternity...

Description/Reviews
Ken at the Laser's Edge says: "...One thing for certain is the band is clearly in love with the sounds of the 70s. They cite early Deep Purple and Pink Floyd as influences. You can clearly hear Pink Floyd sounds. Deep Purple a bit but you'll also hear Iron Butterfly and a bunch of late 60s, early 70s organ driven bands. Plenty of wicked guitarwork as well. Canterbury sounds are here as well. Overall it shoots for a certain vibe, basically British proto-prog and hits the mark. You could easily be fooled into thinking this is an album released in 1971. It's a hell of a lot of fun."
"Very excellent keyboard trio retro-prog from Sweden. [---] This is psychedelic infused progressive rock that channels the heritage of 1970-era Pink Floyd mixed with the Hammond work of Jon Lord with early Deep Purple; they are aiming for and hitting the UK 1970/71 'proto-prog sound - a pretty good place to be!" - Wayside

Description/Reviews
The band's formula isn't very intricate, relying instead on the huge atmosphere the instruments create. Also, repetition is essential in this type of music, as it manages to induce you in a lovely trance, while they work wonders. Two years later, Yuri Gagarin are back with a sophomore effort, entitled At The Center Of All Infinity. I had high expectations and I am happy to admit there's improvement on all grounds. Even though the album doesn't stray from its predecessor, it's okay, because at this point it really shouldn't. These guys had to continue working on their chemistry and that's exactly what happened.

Jenny Puertas – Flute

Description/Reviews
With almost forty minutes of new material, Agusa delivers a wide array of seamlessly executed, organic rock on the aptly titled Agusa 2. The band's tranquil output blends tripped out psychedelic and progressive rock structures. Two epic length tracks are inspired more by folk, occult influences, instillin visions of nature, the cosmos, and dreamlike passages, meandering into realms of a possibly supernatural or parallel existence. While not a fully instrumental recording, backing vocal mantras only seep in through purposeful cracks in the construction of these immense movements, adding an even more spacious feel to the overall flow of the album.

Agusa is a new Swedish band with obvious leanings toward such diverse acts as Kebnekajse (Sweden), Amon Düül II (Germany) and Colosseum (UK), but at the same time presenting something unique. Authentic 70's progressive tunes that lived through four decades can be heard on this amazing album! Featuring members of Sveriges Kommuner & Landsting, Kama Loka and Hoofoot.
