The New Fall of Man's sound is a bit of a challenge to describe. It’s metal, for sure, but the band makes no attempt to fit to any specific sub-genre. They have a plethora of disparate tastes and influences, and the only formula they follow is to write the music they want to hear: metal with a hint of doom, progressive, and dark folk, with themes of violence, vengeance, forgiveness, individualism, and apocalypse.
