Named after the geometric structure and harmonic nature of existence, the album sees the Ozrics once again weaving together soaring guitar melodies, intricate rhythms, lush synth textures and deep, hypnotic grooves into the kind of free-flowing psychedelic odyssey that has become their trademark. From the driving pulse of "Guardstones" to the cosmic momentum of "Space Platform", Harmonic Mind is packed with the flowing musicianship and exploratory spirit that fans have come to expect and adore. Description/Reviews:

On his Cuneiform Records debut, Antumbra Ensemble, Olsson has created eight musical puzzles, each unique in form and function. Joined with a group that includes fellow artists from the Copenhagen scene, he draws on a seemingly unending well of sounds to form his songs, each serving as single pieces to form the record’s whole.

Olsson’s approach references artists like Henry Threadgill’s groundbreaking Very Very Circus band—a unit that remains instantly identifiable through labyrinthine structures—and Rock In Opposition artists, namely Henry Cow, who essentially made unpredictability their vocabulary. In each, it is a unique vision and framework that holds those groups’ sound together. The same can certainly be said for Olsson. “When I was a kid and really got into a record,” he explains, “I wanted to live in this world, where I could smell and taste and discover new things. That’s the kind of experience I want to give the listener.”

Antumbra Ensemble is a wild adventure that blends an ever-evolving palette with a strong penchant for deep, shifting grooves and melodies that are both varied and catchy. It all centers around Olsson’s fearless musical voice, his kaleidoscopic compositions at the forefront, supported by his bold guitar flavors and a well-oiled, highly versatile band who are committed to the cause. Together, they put together a puzzle you’ll want to hear.

Let's THRAK Again lives deeply within the spiritual world where King Crimson compositions dwell, even pulling in specific motivic elements from the classic THRAK album. The band describe it as instrumental chamber music, but the chamber is enormous, loud, dark, and experimental. Musicians purposely designed and arranged these pieces to be performed live as a raw trio, without leaning heavily on electronic safety nets. It is intricate, beautiful, and in your face.

The band is releasing two entirely distinct experiences mixed by two different Italian masters: Reel One (mixed by Stefano Castagna) and Reel Two (mixed by Fabio Trentini).

These aren't just slightly tweaked audio files. They feature completely different mixes and entirely different track orders. Let each reel wash over you as its own separate journey. The shifting track sequences and sonic architectures allow an entirely different emotional landscape to unfold.

Synesthesia is an instrumental project shaped by shared intuition, long conversations, and a fascination with sound as colour. Conceived over dinner by Icarus Peel and Steve Palmer, the idea quickly settled on four extended pieces, each built through an exchange of musical sketches passed back and forth over time.

Palmer’s spacious compositions were met by Peel’s guitar responses, the material gradually evolving through careful listening and refinement. Jay Tausig was drawn in to provide fluid, understated drums, while Rob Gould added additional keyboards with a light, precise touch. The result is a set of vocal-free pieces that lean into atmosphere, tone, and momentum rather than songcraft.

The music nods toward 1970s progressive and psychedelic traditions, evoking an era of immersive, side-long listening without leaning on pastiche. References drift between kosmische electronics, Canterbury looseness, and electric guitar flourishes, unified by a sense of colour and texture guiding every decision.

Synesthesia rewards focused listening: four carefully balanced movements that feel timeless, reflective, and quietly expansive, inviting the listener to sit back, tune in, and let the colours emerge.

The album is incredibly broad in its breadth and scope. Tracks include ‘Pens to the Foal Mode’ which is a completely free group improvisation; ‘Open Road’ a rocky track which sees the band soaring on all burners with fiery solos by both Etheridge. and Travis; the ballad ‘Disappear’ which starts with ethereal looped flutes and develops into a beautiful piano led and drum less miniature and ‘Turmoil’ penned by bassist Fred Baker which brims with deranged fuzz bass, manic solos and an almost unhinged clamor. ‘Daevid’s Special Cuppa’ sees a cameo by founder member Daevid Allen (his guitar part being recorded years earlier, and the track built around it) in a psychedelic tribal set piece with soprano sax, guitar and duduk (a haunting Armenian traditional wooden flute like instrument) floating over hypnotic rhythms.

The entire album is specified by clear melodies, refined harmonies, alternating between rhythmic and irregular passages, changes in mood, instrumental maturity and innovative approaches.

3 songs on the album are heavier (the opening oriDjental, the following anTristis and the fourth haruWomatsu:Aki), they could be described as prog rock/metal, 2 songs are fusion jazz (haruWomatsu:Fuyu and wArpeggio). ‘Chaos Within A Construct’ and its respective interlude ‘Double Standards’ more or less establishes this from the record’s offset, its thunderous post rock brimming with confidence as it flows to and from the jazz inclined math rock sequences that bind the track. However, it’s the proceeding ‘Forever The Optimist’ that serves as the record’s first big, standout moment. Towering and beautifully composed, the track’s optimistic metropolitan post rock harkens And So I Watch You From Afar’s sense of imagination and amazement, something that becomes a defining sensibility that only grows across V’s runtime.

“Carving a Dragon” was the first track written for the album, and one of the most challenging. Inspired by Robin Hobb’s Assassin’s Quest, the song symbolizes pouring one’s soul into creation and marks the beginning of Koepke’s journey as a solo recording artist. With its energetic, uplifting fantasy feel, it stands in contrast to the moodier, sci-fi-themed tracks that follow.

The album itself is a genre-defying instrumental narrative, weaving through symphonic fantasy, sci-fi textures, and progressive complexity. Koepke describes the sound as “spacey, weird, melodic, melancholic, happy,” and cites influences ranging from Dream Theater and Haken to Wintersun and Caligula’s Horse. Divided into three distinct acts, "Primordial Reverie" challenges listeners to experience the full arc of its story, with recurring motifs and evolving themes that reward repeat listens.
