Describing Kingcrow today is quite a difficult task, but one could state that the influence of different kinds of music; progressive rock, alternative rock, ambient music, metal, and more are all present in the band's songs. With each release, they take a step further away from their original roots.

Description/Reviews
The follow-up to 2015’s Agusa 2 (Två ) sees the AGUSA circle expanding their kaleidoscopic output which conjures images of nature and the cosmos, their extensive passages again leading the listener into fantastic realms of a possibly supernatural or parallel existence. While Agusa 2 (Två) engulfed forty minutes of music through two massive tracks, Agusa sees the band delivering their singular brand of, trance-inducing, folk-inspired, occult rock through more traditional track lengths, offering five songs which range from five to ten-and-a-half minutes in length and are a bit heavier than the album’s predecessors.

Description/Reviews
As with many other progressive rock bands, Edensong’s take on the genre is one that is hard to pin down. They appear to have something of a passionate interest in progressive folk rock of the kind that Jethro Tull made a career out of, and traces and echoes of that band can be found on numerous occasions throughout. Not merely due to the liberal use of flute soloing, but also in certain structural elements unless I’m much mistaken. That there are passages that comes across as something of a bastard child of Jethro Tull and Dream Theater is perhaps and indication of just how extensive the palette Edensong use is, although the more clear cut metal-oriented themes and passages strictly speaking is a minority feature on this CD. Very much present, but not in a dominant manner.

8.     Faraway
9.     Will

Line-up
Sakari Ojanen - Vocals, Guitars
Joni Palmroth - Bass
Ville Viitanen - Drums
Jussi Poikonen - Guitars

Description/Review

Like I mentioned, Oddland plays progressive metal, and their sound is one of heaviness.  Hard-hitting riffs seem to be their specialty, and they always have this sublime quirkiness present, too.  “Origin”, however, is a slightly different beast compared to their debut.  This is a very dark, very heavy album; almost shockingly heavy at times.  It is again focused on heavy guitars, but the atmosphere is less quirky and more blackened.  It’s very, very dark.  Did I mention it’s heavy?  Additionally, you will find some wonderful piano here and there through the album, and it really adds to the heaviness because it is so fragile and beautiful.

2. Machina
3. Pile Of Ash (ES335 version)

9. Pile Of Ash (cello version - bonus track)

Line-up

Description/Reviews
A natural progression from the band’s previous album, Machina Viva invites the listener into the harmonious yet portentous and sullen musical dimensions of Wolverine with perhaps their most dynamic album to date. From the fourteen-minute epic and powerful “The Bedlam Overture” and the dark electronic landscapes of “Machina,” to the naked and organic nature of “Pile Of Ash” and “Sheds,” Machina Viva is the next step in Wolverine’s explorations in the progressive field.

Chris Heilmann (ex-Crippled Black Phoenix, Bernie Torme', Shark Island) – Bass.
Mattias Olsson (ex-Änglagård, White Willow, Necromonkey) - Drums & keyboard

Description/Reviews
There are a great deal of influences present on this debut album. With early Pink Floyd as one of keyboardist Montaldo’s favorites. Vocalist Keith Gladysz is linkable to ex-Spocks Beard and Transatlantic singer Neil Morse. While he keeps his personal touch to every note that leaves his throat. Some of the music has that progressive, Neil Morse and Pink Floyd, sound as well. If you listen to ‘Out Of The Maze’, the Hammond organ in the back and the Gladysz vocals make this up-tempo track very recognizable, while still being original.

Release dateJuly 21, 2015 (vinyl), July 24, 2015 (CD, digital)
Tracklist
  1. Gånglåt från Vintergatan - 20:21
  2. Kung Bores Dans - 18:17
Line-up
Tobias Pettersson - Bass
Mikael Ödesjö - Guitar
Tim Wallander - Drums
Jonas Berge - Hammond Organ
Jenny Puertas – Flute

Description/Reviews
With almost forty minutes of new material, Agusa delivers a wide array of seamlessly executed, organic rock on the aptly titled Agusa 2. The band's tranquil output blends tripped out psychedelic and progressive rock structures. Two epic length tracks are inspired more by folk, occult influences, instillin visions of nature, the cosmos, and dreamlike passages, meandering into realms of a possibly supernatural or parallel existence. While not a fully instrumental recording, backing vocal mantras only seep in through purposeful cracks in the construction of these immense movements, adding an even more spacious feel to the overall flow of the album.

Description/Reviews
Opening up with the pre-release single The Moth, the album quickly shows its base sound, an eclectic mixture of prog and metal, but not quite prog metal in the traditional sense. By showing instrumental capability without showing it off with unnecessary wankery, Kingcrow falls right in that special middle zone occupied by the likes of Porcupine Tree and Riverside.Though they do experiment with sounds, like on the techno-muffled Slow Down, they never sound as if they’re experimenting, all the work comes across as polished and professional. As to the concept, Slow Down also delivers the heart of it, a typical scenario of us as a race being too absorbed in our technology and being pulled in deeper and deeper. The depth of the concept will take many more listens for me to fully absorb, as most of the best concept albums do.

Description/Reviews
This is what space rock is all about folks. Music of this nature is supposed to take you on a journey, allowing the listener to close their eyes and let the sounds carry you off into another dimension, and Once There Was A Time When Time And Space Were One clearly does that, and then some.
... the album has that 'classic' sound from start to finish, tracks like the two part "Song of Innocence" taking you back to vintage era Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, and Ash Ra Tempel with the waves of slashing guitars, throbbing rhythms, and pulsating keyboard washes. ... "Into the Cosmic Halo" just soars, with guitar work that reminds of some of the best of Steve Hillage, while "Garden of Delights" builds and builds with intensity to s stunning climax, almost like a lost track from the Pink Floyd Ummagumma album.
