Description/Reviews:
Embark on a transformative journey with Atonement of a Former Sailor Turned Painter, a progressive rock experience that goes beyond music—it's a narrative of courage, remorse, and the pursuit of meaning. This unique album stands out not only for its compelling storytelling but for its lyrics, which span in five different languages (English, French, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, and Dutch), capturing the rich, multicultural essence of the Caribbean's seafaring world.
The concept album follows a former sailor seeking redemption through art, where the turbulent seas of his past are channeled into brushstrokes that lay bare his restless soul.
Each song and story draws listeners into evocative realms: the camaraderie of the Leviathan's Dream Tavern, a place of meeting refuge and shared tales; the haunting Siren's Tooth Reef, caught between storm and calm, a limbo for souls who glimpse their own unrest; and the mystical Floating Painter's Palette, where art and memory merge in a wordless plea for forgiveness and peace.
This album is a sonic logbook, an invitation to navigate uncharted waters of dreams, regrets, and introspection. Let the music and storytelling guide you through this odyssey—a vivid exploration of human fragility and resilience, as notes and narratives weave together a tapestry of redemption and profound self-discovery. Each song is accompanied by a short story that embodies its storytelling, enriching the listener's experience and deepening the narrative context of the album.

Description/Reviews:
The fruit of their union is condensed into two long and exciting suites of almost twenty minutes in duration, marked by the inevitable odd tempos, with the monophonic synthesizers and the organ tracing the bass lines. The sound texture is made more precious thanks to the use of the original timbres of the seventies.

Simone Coloretti (Egoband): Electric, Acoustic, Classical Guitars
Marco Freddi (Prowlers): Drums and Percussions

Description/Reviews:
After their debut album “Spaventapasseri” that has distinguished itself for the dreamlike atmospheres and a songwriting prog rock attitude, Fufluns amaze us with a second album that conveys realism, whose lyrics speak about recent news reports by standing out for a much more Hard Prog arrangements.
Beppe Corna's “Refusés”are 17 sculptures made of earthenware, cloth and acrylic paint. They represent manhood's social exclusion, looking like lonely masks with grotesque shapes. They wear clothes quite similar to straitjackets, forced by the strict society they live in.
They are those who are outsiders by nature, silent and stubborn, celebrating their own kind of outcry. So, taking inspiration from Beppe Corna's works, Fufluns decided to give voice to 9 Refusés, each of them has a story to tell through their album's tracks.

Description/Reviews:
The definition, which lead vocal Francesco Rapaccioli most loves to use to describe his music, is 'pro aggressive' rock ... do not be fooled by the pun: The basis on which their sound is nourished is a solid rock of overseas matrix with melodies inspired by the classic Anglo-Saxon school; The ensuing result is clean, without excess, with perfectly crafted arrangements.

Gigi Murari: drums & percussions
   With:
Paolo Zanella: piano
Nicola Rotta, Massimo Basaglia: electric guitar
Titta Donato: a bass line hint

Description/Reviews:
A concept (not by chance) named "Utopie", which tells of forms of coexistence born of violence or deception that do not keep their promises. It should be better approached, therefore, as a unitary musical journey visually set in the fantasy artworks of Kellepics, an escape aboard Susannp4's cute balloons, artists met in the virtual city of Pixabay. After the first song, written long ago for La Sintesi with Italian lyrics (Nicola Rotta), everything becomes decidedly prog with 3 suites around 15 minutes each, in which the listener may enjoy an accurate songwriting and the ability to ease complex passages and architectures of considerable complexity. Prog rock that can be defined as classic, full of references especially to Yes and King Crimson that the artist has made his own and personally reworked.

It is part of a re-worked version of interviews Stefano Giannotti held with the personnel of the Hospice of San Cataldo (Lucca) for the short film SAY HELLO TO THE CLOUDS (2012). These testimonies became words for pieces in perfect OTEME style, halfway between folk songs and chamber music, avant-rock and contemporary poetry, historical 1900s and psychedelia, “almost-a-radio drama” and musical theatre.

Description/Reviews
Blue Sun is the debut album of the prog-band THE IKAN METHOD, and it is a progressive rock album inspired by the big groups of the new-prog 80s and 90s (in particular Marillion and IQ) Then pieces full of melodies, with intertwining of guitars and keyboards supported by a solid rhythmic base, for half sung and for another half composed of instrumental pieces where the instruments are "singing". All the pieces have a melancholy streak and tell, through music and words, of feelings and life experiences, both internal and social, that photograph a dark period of our society, the current one…

Description/Reviews
...the new "Montecristo" is today's stuff, new material ... even if the vintage sound of these 'old kids' remains inextricably linked to other fabulous times. "Montecristo" is a concept based obviously, and poetically, on the nineteenth-century literary work of the same name by A. Dumas, in which the band injects theatricality, lyrics (in Italian), digressions, progressions, sounds, instruments and everything else that a band basically prog is able, can and must offer.

Description/Reviews
The common thread of the songs in ´´Voices´´ is represented by the voices we hear from our deepest inner self, coming from our head, our heart or our soul. Voices that become louder and louder, and that need, as time goes by, the urge of coming out: to scream !! Voices that increase, little by little, their intensity, because the positive aspect of ageing is that we understand better who we are and what we want. The time has come to say stop compromising and no more suffocating our real personality. The album´s cover represents this concept: we are that planet, and those speakers represent our Voice exploding with all its self consciousness towards the rest of the world.

Banda Belzoni, the rock opera written by Gigi Venegoni & Sandro Bellu, is a musical journey of classic rock and sometimes prog, open to numerous influences. Not a road to a roadway, it wouldn't be from Belzoni, because it would betray the spirit of a craftsman who changed history.
