Description/Reviews
The opener is an instrumental intro. 'Perverse Hallucinations' is a dramatic, orchestral piece with deep timbre from the drumwork and eerie sounding keys it's a great mood piece to set you up for the rest of the album. The next track 'Twisted Illusion' begins with cool keys, a peaceful opening. 'Matt Jones' starts a display of the range of his voice. An electrifying riff adds to a laid back drum beat. The tempo moves in and out throughout the track combining laid back sections with a classy solo, heavier riffing and through the final third a groovier element. Through the semi-acoutic sections the Bass stands out proudly alongside the capable drumming. I have a couple of personal needs from this track. The keys at the beginning while played capably needed to be more piercing to really give me the goosebumps I want to get from epic tracks. The solo guitar work also played exceptionally well, just lacked a bit of opening up for me. Some really piercing notes and I would have been in heaven.
