First off, this four piece band has a sound that is squarely in the prog rock camp but with more than enough metal to intensify their sound where needed. ... this is just a great, great album by a band that has absorbed a whole host of melodic progressive rock influences and isn’t afraid to wear those influences on their sleeves.  Obviously, this is not groundbreaking music but that’s not at all the point here as this band is very focused on great songwriting, storytelling and emotionally gripping music (without at all being cloying).
