This includes singers from Israel and Palestine, who both actively campaign to bring Jewish and Arabic people together. There are also instrumentals from the USA and Iraq and a multiplicity of sounds, including the exotic strains of Indian sitar and Middle Eastern tar and oud, the ethnic beauty of the Peruvian charango and the haunting Celtic Uilleann pipes.

Line-up
The Watcher - vocals, guitar
Derwydd - drums
Frank "Grungyn" Allain - bass, vocals

Description/Reviews
These songs are richly textured and layered with all manner of nuance and subtlety. Post-rock and progressive stylings merge effortlessly into blackened aggression and dark atmospheres. These transitions are seamless, when they occur at all; frequently they are merged together wholesale, so there’s no transition as such, just one holistic approach to blackened music.

Description/Reviews
Opening track, ‘The Incredible Machine’ kicks into action furiously with rich melodic vocals from vocalist, John Knight to accompany the intricate guitars and changeable backdrop. The intelligible transitions quickly show their talent and craftsmanship and prove they run a tight ship, with all the rights cogs turning in unison, coming together to amass to six minutes of epicness. Luckily they grip you and give you many ‘reasons’ to keep listening…

Musically, the band's melodic sensibilities, epic arrangements and love of historical subject matter place them squarely in the same area of Prog as Big Big Train and Genesis, indeed fans of the former band should find much to love here, while David Jackson's inspirational sax and the mix of male and female vocals offer mean that there are enough differences to set this remarkable band apart.

Junius are one of those bands that are so damn consistent. But they are not complacent. In fact, their new album “Eternal Rituals for the Accretion of Light” not only maintains that prog-gaze (I just made that up) style they have always had but it adds a few new wrinkles to keep things fresh.
